Dragonflight will kill Wrath’s population

I refuse to buy DF until a patch or two. I will not be baited into buying another horrible expansion. Blizzard has to earn my money.

Did they earn your money when they sit you in a 8 hour queue, not have a hard stance against bots/RMT and essentially remove half the features from the original Wrath?

I’m interested in raiding on retail.
Just can’t afford investing the time that is needed. Plus, if you don’t have time, you have to BUY carries.

That is long gone for me. With M+ being sidelined instead of being equal to raids, not only I have no intent to play DF but also my friends and everyone who enjoys M+ will do.

Tbh I only experienced the queue a couple of times. Shadowlands left such a horrible taste in my mouth, I want to see how things play out.

I never said it was being sidelined, this is what I said:

Raids are currently not important at all per your point, they are trying to make it just as appealing as M+ to a casual audience that might not have time. I don’t know how they plan on doing that as it’s not on the Beta yet, but i’m excited to see the solutions.

I don’t blame you, SL was horrible lol. Try out the DF beta when you get a chance, it’s pretty fun to mess around in.

A lot of people are coming back for Wrath after many many years of not playing. Of course Blizz wants that market to try out the brand new Retail expansion. Thats just plain business sense. There was no better way to get almost ALL of their old players back.

Those people leaving Wrath is immaterial. They were either going to leave anyways if they get turned by Retail, or they will use Retail to pad out the time in between raid logging in Wrath.

DF has a lot going for it?

If you like retail. People here arent the target audience. It’s retail, it’s still dogs***

That would be the best thing ever, if “all of us retail players” would leave Classic with DF release.

And they will quit within the first couple months once they find out their beloved expansion got gutted and half the features got removed, enjoy explaining to someone with 2008 nostalgia why they have no LFD but a janky Retail-type LFG tool instead that is horribly ineffective to use.

Many other things changed as well, this is not the Wrath people remember.

Most of the people in Classic are Retail players or people who quit a long time ago, Wrath Classic is not even what it was back in 2008 which defeats the purpose of a Classic. It exists to peddle Lv 70 boosts at this point with most of the dungeon farming/LFD nerfs and removals.

Yes, I am 100% serious. Go try the Beta before you pass judgement, DF is fantastic. It looks a lot better than Wrath Reforged.

Yes, we are. We quit for good reason. I mythic raided in SL. The game isnt worth returning to. I could effectively never log on again and not even be upset in the slightest. RDF being left out? Doesnt phase me one bit – that’s not what made wrath, wrath.

By all means, enjoy DF. Take the Fairweather crowd with you!

LFD was literally in the original game, what you have here is a caveman version of Wrath with half the things that removed that made the original game popular in the first place.

You can enjoy this shell of an expansion but most won’t and will drop like flies once DF drops.

I understand that you hate SL, I do too but you need to be more objective and understand that DF is removing all the borrowed power and Retail garbage that made SL so bad to play in the first place.

How am I doomsayer? I’m just speaking my opinion.

It was released in 3.3.0. You went through the majority of wrath without it.

It didn’t make wrath, wrath. Enjoy Dragonflight lands – the classic crowd doesnt care.

Then revert all the class balance back to 3.0 because right now the rest of the features in 3.3 exist except for the one feature that was incredibly loved in the original game.

Well fortunately you have DF to go love since your end of expansion feature isnt there on release – too bad we wont see you when DF drops.

General forums are where you should be campaigning for DF.

You’re saying Wrath will fail.

You’re ignoring any other opinions and talking down to people.

You’ve also done the same thing in several other threads.

Play what makes you happy. If Dragonflight will make you happy great. Why are you advertising it here?

If I was pumped for Dragonflight I’d be posting in the General Discussion forums. Trying to get people to come over there from here is weird.

I played the SL Beta, it was really bad. We knew all the problems and they ran with it anyways.

I played the Wrath beta as well, it was equally as bad. They knew all the problems and ran with it anyways.

I’m in the DF beta and for the first time in over 5 years they not only respond to player feedback, they listened and gave us old talent trees, removed borrowed power, removed PvP iLevels and did a lot more to give back to the community.

Speaking from a purely Beta standpoint, DF is looking far more promising than Wrath Reforged.

Once that 50% XP buff ends in 2 weeks, no one will level new toons anymore as the LFG tool is utter garbage compared to LFD and they destroyed dungeons too with needless nerfs and then slapped on a Level 70 boost to capitalize on creating an artificially long time gate.

You are not playing the original Wrath, you are playing Wrath Retail.

No Wrath succeeded, it was the high point of WoW. Wrath Retail, the version we’re getting now with half the features removed will fail.

It is not the same game nor the same thing.

can’t play both?
