Dragonflight Survival Tree feedback

Disagree. There are certainly matchups where Steel Trap isn’t a must, but I feel like that’s a minority. Whether it’s rooting a healer behind a pillar to force their dps off your healer or risk dying, or rooting a DH to peel, etc, it has a lot of uses. Shorter Harpoon CD is important to line up with 25s Freezing Trap. We’ll see how things play out when it comes to Eagle, but being able to burst from range is pretty big, I can’t imagine that changing.

i can see your point, but eagle costs 4 points, thats a lot. i don’t think its worth.

100% agreed, that’s what all the complaints are about!

I think something like this is what I would currently go with for a generic PvP build (can make minor variations depending on matchup, like drop Steel Trap, grab Scare Beast, etc.), but honestly, there are so many sacrifices we need to make and can’t even pick up everything we currently have, that it feels terrible and I’m just left hoping there is a massive rework coming.

Yes, thats the point of my post.
Your build is dropping 6% crit chance, tip of the spear and your MB is 10% weaker, you are courageous

I don’t see how that can be the point of your post yet you consider any changes to the passive talents that gate Eagle to be off the table.

Those are mutually exclusive positions.

Being cheaper alone won’t make it “worth”, nor will it do anything to make the spec more enjoyable absent being overtuned.

WTB Legion throwing tomahawks, lacerate, and caltrops back plz^^

Not really.

Mechanically maybe, but thematically not even close.

Whats the point of things being cheaper when there is absolutely nothing worth spending the points on? We have the smallest tree in the game.

But no way of the Mok’Nathal!

Whici is why I’m also saying a lot of the bland boring passive bloat needs to be interesting talents.

Its a trash build.

As part of the MSV council let me say that the op DOES NOT speak for us. The survival tree has issues, the things that blizz has announced that they will do (reduce 3pt talent bloat) will help but not really fix the issues. I do however, like that we are going back to a mongoose bite playstyle so there is that.

Here is a build that I have been toying with for arena.

Also keep in mind guys, all you’re builds are missing the free point in kill command that is supposed to be given when speccing into survival.

I will still hold until we see what Blizzard is going to do after what was said in their post.
As the tree’s stand now, we do not it seems, to have a lot of choices. It would seem were back to a ST build or maybe a AOE build at best.

Looking at the Shaman builds, exp Enhance as I play that, I wonder why the SV tree’s did not get this type of thought process. Perhaps its coming. I really hope so. So until then, I’ll reserve my thoughts on what I see now.

Ive been saying it too but all you hear is the fanbois being stupid.

Well blizz is working on surv right now. They will move onto other classes soon and they will basically leave the trees where they are at. So unless someone says something about surv they wont do anything.

1- i never said that i speak for all survival players
2- you not speak for me nor for sv players
3- your build is ludacrious, 7 (seven) point for aspect of the eagle skipping 6% crit, tip of the spear, this hole in your build will be heavy on your partners shoulder
4-you really don’t get tired of being refuted countless times

OH BOY THIS ONE IS PRICELESS FROM THE SV REPRESENTATIVE

I can point ALL DAY every single moment where you were WRONG and I was right

I think imma trust my literal 1000 point difference in 3s rating over yours on what to go with in arena (obviously subject to tuning).

No, you can point all day to where you think you were right in that little pea brain of yours.

I bet you think its right to take Bird of Prey in a pvp environment too.

Maybe stop the pissing contest? All but one of us can agree the tree has mechanical issues over and above the point costs, how about suggestions to improve it?

priceless SV representative

It amazes me you think this proves anything other then you being dense. At that moment I never saw it get dodged. It wasn’t able to be evaded in bfa and 12 days after the start of sl s1 i never saw it happen. Probably cause I know that pet stun 99% time goes on healer to setup trap. Free tip to help out your cr btw.

Best part, even if it was getting evaded I hadn’t seen it so I’m still right.

Suggestions have already been made and talked about by devs (some of them).

Reduce the bloat (amount of 3pt talents, blizz said they doing this)

Rearrange some talents, Energetic Ally/Killer Companion/Wildfire Infusion comes to mind.

These are the biggest changes needed before anything else imo.
