Dragonflight Survival Tree feedback

Every class has 3 specs (most of them), in dragonflight SV spec works around 3 viable builds.

You are just asking for more buttons instead of passives?
Dear god you are just delusional.

You’re getting maybe two builds out of the tree. A raptor strike spamming build and a kc spammimg build

You are definitely in the minority with that opinion.

SV has 20 points of those super basic passives %dmg or %crit talents. That’s more than a third of the entire tree.

A few of them are ok (MM has 9 of those points altogether across 5 nodes, all but 2 points towards the top of the tree, so it works) but SV has way too much of that.

This is my build for dragonflight, i’ll let you know my rating. (this is the third one)

Are you attempting to be mediocre at everything?

You are missing key ST talents to be effective in ST, and you haven’t gone deep enough into AoE talents to be effective there either.

This is a PvP build.

Your duelist high achievements don’t impress me, sorry. And your seasonal best is 200 lower than my cr. You’re, at best, slightly worse than i am. And your build looks pretty awful

Don’t let him fool you. That’s not a pvp build, it’s clearly a troll build and he’s trying to gaslight us

Its not suposed to impress anyone.
I said i’ll let you know my future rating, you are just being toxic/arrogant with your 49% win ratio, yes forty-nine (same rating as me) while im playing with my brother (he started this game 1.5 month ago)

Yup 49% wr, and 400cr higher than you mr 1600 and if you’re not out to impress anyone why are you trying to justify your cr by saying you’re gimped by your 0 xp brother?

i don’t even play 3s, i just hit 1600 because i was gearing my brother post-60 through quest gear ROLF
I was teaching him because i don’t care about 3v3 which express 33% merit, while 2s express 50%.

Great, yet another SV post that has devolved into mindless bickering instead of solving problems. Way to go guys. Really helping the cause here.

I was talking about the talents I like and the ones I don’t think are a problem, then this 49% kiddo started trash talk about rating.

No you were calling me delusional for wanting more choices to work with and then went off about your joke of a build

You brought up rating, unprompted, when people were calling out your hot take that 2/4/6% crit or 5/10/15% damage talents are actually great and they should all stay as is because you like them.

SV has too many points total (58), the highest total tree cost of any released tree so far.

SV has too many 3 point talents (9), more than double the next closest spec (Feral with 4). This includes Lunge, a 3 point talent identical to Acrobatic Strikes, which Rogues get for 1 point.

SV has too many boring % passives (20 points total, across 8 nodes). For comparison, MM has 9 points total across 5 nodes.

SV does not have talents arranged in a logical way, with things like Explosives Expert gating Wildfire Infusion, Deadly Duo gating Fury of the Eagle, and Harpoon requiring a 4 point spend to be worth taking at all.

SV has some interesting spec gimmicks with the wide array of DoT damage (WFB, Bloodseeker, Spearhead, and Serpent Sting and Master Marksman in the Class Tree), and nothing that capitalizes on DoT damage. Deadly Duo should be a chance on DoT damage tick to reset WFB, not a chance on KC reset. Some of the basic % damage talents should be “Your X ability does Y% increased damage to targets afflicted with one of your damage over time effects” or something. That goes double for something like Butchery or Carve, where you could then feed into the traditional SV theme of putting all the dots on all the things and watching them fall over dead while you laugh maniacally at their pitiful attempts to fight back.

I don’t even play the spec, nor do I like the concept of MSV in the slightest, and I have actionable feedback to provide, why do you, a self-proclaimed MSV lover, think everything is fine? You of all people should want Blizzard to fix the issues with the spec, making it better and more interesting, which might entice more people to play it, which might mean it gets more developer attention in the future instead of being the forgotten bastard child everyone pretends doesn’t exist.

I said i’ll let you know my rating through the third dragonflight build. What does this have to do with a person giving trash talk?

-This is my build on DF, i’ll let you know my rating using this build
-AHA, your rating don’t impress me, im better than you

What? you are toxic as him.

This explains everything. what I would expect from a player that behaves with free flaming and doesn’t even play with the spec. I can only say that you fulfilled my expectations

I should have 35, i want my mongoose bite hitting for 350%.

No Steel Trap, Eagle, or shorter Harpoon CD in a PvP build? Come on.

I said nothing about your rating, and I readily admitted I don’t PvP. I questioned the build you linked, as it seems to be all over the place rather than actually going deep enough into any one area to be effective.

Go ahead and quote me where I flamed anyone.

You want a whole spec tree filled with boring % passives, have fun being the only person playing it. That’s a great way to have an obscenely boring character.

im a 2s player, steel trap its not that important on 2s. Survival has concussive shot on DF, both eagle and shorter harpoon are not a must anymore.

I said he was being toxic because he randomly said he is better than me (if it were true it would be arrogant, the worst thing is that it is not true)
and you said “You brought up rating” implying thats my fault.

He sees all criticism of SV as a threat; even those from the perspective of improving melee SV.
