All three of those things are probably only used by 10% of the playerbase. And anyone who was interested in them might be turned off by the other…posters.
God, look at that set. You look like a Dark Archon. I’m prioritizing that this weekend.

DF is a boring expansion. I’m glad we only raid once per week because I really don’t have the desire to log in any more than that.
Mm-hmm
I’m more curious about why it is important for you to believe that and spout it on these forums for all to see…
What terrible writing on the level of SL has there been in DF?
DF’s writing isn’t bad. It’s not great either, it’s just kind of there.
I’m having fun, my guild is having fun, my friends are having fun, my community is having fun.
You don’t have to play all day every day forever.
And the fact that you don’t have to play that much doesn’t make the expansion any less good or bad.
Not really. It means nothing about it as a game. WOTLK had the highest subs in the game’s life and it was a pretty bad expac looking back on it.
And plus, a game having 10 million concurrent players really means nothing to your experience as a player playing the game. You’re not going to be playing with 10 million people concurrently.
Wrong, it means everything to the game and the future changes will be based on it.
I, for one, am absolutely shocked that redditors have a negative opinion on something. If redditors say it’s bad then it has to be true.
I know right? They’re always so positive and upbeat over there.
What I think is going on here is that when many people leave WoW, they do so believing the reason they left isn’t that THEY have changed, but that the GAME has changed for the worse. Now they’ve come back for an expansion which should be what they want, they find they are still feeling disinterested for some reason. Turns out the reason many of these people left wasn’t really because of game changes, but because they had changed or the game format had simply grown stale for them.
Because it’s good,
But it’s tough to focus on gaming when the world is on fire. :3 Or when your landlord’s decided to double your rent because he wants a yacht. Or when you have an illness/injury from that dead end job you were hoping to get out of. Or there’s just the fact that the world ending isn’t just in the news anymore. The fire season, the hurricane season, the tornado season - they’re all getting worse and it’s getting into everybody’s daily lives - it’s not isolatable anymore. You can’t remove yourself from global warming when your air isn’t safe to breathe.
Or, finally you’re being killed by student debt on top of all of this.
The game’s great. Life though?
It sucks.
yeah everyone needs to break for a while.
Its about how many come back and play some more when new content drops.
because it’s on topic of “the game is so good, but nobody is playing it”
People won’t do that. DF is blizzard doing a pretty decent job giving most players exactly what they asked for in response to legion through SL.
Players acknowledging that DF is bland and basically WoD 2.0 would require those players to admit they were wrong. Instead we are going to get excuses about it being ok to take breaks, other games or whatever other cope people want to throw out.
I think Dragonflight is a huge upgrade from Shadowlands and I have desire to play it and I play it almost every day. I mainly like M+ keys and even as healing is supposedly “the hardest it’s ever been” or “a thankless job” first of all I’m not here for a thank you. I’m here for gear and points. Second of all M+ is of infinitely scaling difficulty so it’ll become too hard for me at some point anyway, no matter if that’s a 23 like now or a 26 like in S4 shadowlands.
Quality is measured on a bar.
Bad ------------- Meh, it’s aight ------------ Good
Wrath = Good
BFA = Bad
Shadowlands = Very Bad, holy cow what were you guys smoking
Dragonflight simply NOT being Shadowlands DOESN’T make it a good expansion. It’s not even a meh one… it’s getting there for me, but Blizzard keeps proverbially shooting themselves in the foot.
Im just gonna start adding anyone calling me a liar to the ignore list. Trolling aint worth seeing that someone responded in here with it.
we get it…YOU dont like the expansion. good for you.
maybe we should start saying that you all actually do love the expanion but it would require you admitting you were wrong. lmao.
to recap.
I played FOUR characters on Beta…FOUR.
Then Ive played EIGHT characters in DF live.
Im ALLOWED to be burned out after 12 hour days for months.
DF is the best expansion since Mists.
I left around the beginning of BFA and returned for Dragonflight.
Happy to not have the borrowed power chores, enjoying Dragonflight. Won’t play as often maybe, but I’ll stay subbed.
wow engagement at all time low crackhead streamers and youtubers feeling their cash cow dying lol. then there’s all the wow defenders that patrol forums all day. It truly feels like the end this time.
People don’t want to accept it but without borrowed power there is nothing to grind for. Players need a treadmill to give them a reason to keep playing the game and Dragonflight has literally nothing at all. Destiny 2s latest season is a great example because item level didn’t go up this season but because of that there’s literally no reason to log into the game at all unless you’re part of the small portion of the game that plays Crucible. Without the need to do Pinnacle activities you have no reason to participate in the content.
Without a chase there’s nothing to do. Cosmetics and Dragonriding was never going to carry the expansion and you can look at Guildwars 2 as an example of what happens when cosmetics are the endgame; aka it’s basically dead.
I’m not saying that the systems were implemented greatly, but it gave you a reason to log on and play each day.
