Dragonflight expansion is already over for solo players

A lot of “solo” players are older people who’ve worked most their lives, still do, just want a nice escape from the world without having to deal with personalities, etc…

There’s a lot of us. It’d be a shame for Blizz to leave us out but it is what it is.
I don’t remember a time when solo players had an endgame so it would be nice if some adjustments could be made.
I think OP made some good points.

It’s been less than a week since I returned to the game after 2 years of break.
My map is clear and my quest log is empty. Yea… I exhausted most of its contents in less than a week. I log on and do some gathering and mining then log off just because I felt like I had to do something. Rep grinding? for rings and the cape? kinda irrelevant since mythic+ and raid are less than a week away.
I’ve played this game since 2004… it’s the first time I felt like “man there isn’t s*** to do” Can’t wait for the raid though. That I’m really looking forward to.

Based on your some of your reactions and the immediate finger pointing, I have to wonder just which demographic you fall in.

To note, “sweaty crybaby demographic” is not referring to the raiding and M+ communities, as most people will realize. It refers specifically to a small subsection of those communities that will spew vitriol at the mere notion of PvPers or solo players getting anywhere in PvE with non-raid/M+ gear.

Aren’t they giving away a bunch of raid level gear next week in those easy mode primal invasion things popping up around the dragon isles?

I’m not being sarcastic at all here, please know that. I think Solo players should leave WoW and never come back, it’s the only way they will ever get how many Solo players there truly are.

Regardless of the negative responses you are likely to get in here I do believe the Solo play style is extremely under valued by American MMO developers.

so to be a solo player you have to be old and have worked most of your life? huh

As a solo player you literally have TONs to do you even get your own gearing path… Plus all the content that comes out Tuesday. It’s like you aren’t living in the same universe as the rest of us.

The solo players are the only thing keeping WoW alive at the moment. If they leave, the rest of us are screwed. We can pretty much forget getting new raids and M+ content once the game becomes a resource drain. Mind you, I completely agree with your point. They are undervalued.

i suppose it depends what your definition of “endgame” is.

there was absolutely plenty to do.

for petes sake.
it’s week one.
how geared do you expect people to be?

like every expansion ever?

can’t bring myself to read the rest of this, it’s not making any sense to me.

Over? Nah, there’s plenty of unstructured fooling around I intend to do. Flying around, seeing what the physics model will let me get away with, fishing, skinning, and other odds and ends should keep me busy for a while yet.

Solo players have to make their own entertainment.

Dude, dragonriding is like… the most game breaking thing I have ever seen. There’s so much weird crap you can get it to do.

I’m going to see if I can fly an inside loop. Probably can’t, but I’m still going to try.

Well, I can tell you one thing. Be real careful how fast you zoom into those caves out in the open world. If you’re unlucky, you’ll zip right through the back wall and into the disconnect void.

Except you didn’t. The reason I’m 7 ilvls higher than you is because I’m doing world content every day, and you’re not.

I’m in the demographic that goes off of hard evidence instead of fairy tales.

Here’s one of my screenshots from Shadowlands Alpha showing the placeholder loot that you claim was never even planned:

And here’s another screenshot showing that the legendary currency was additional, despite your claim that they were the same thing:

Everything you said about Torghast development was wrong, and I have the evidence to prove it.

I’m that demographic. The people with facts.

Herbs and ore sell so quickly now with the regionwide Auction House that it’s kind of like a mission table if you pretend that whoever buys your stuff doesn’t really exist IRL

I’m a solo player and having a blast in Dragonflight. I’m level 70 and there is plenty to do. I’ve done some of the dungeons just for a few quests that need it, but it’s not anything exciting to me, with the exception of laughing as I put up with the toxic idiots who run them in a hurry.
I don’t sell much at the AH. That’s not why I play the game. Plus, anything I would be interested in is so redonkulously overpriced, I’ll go out and farm the mog myself. If I want a bunch of gold I buy wow tokens with my real money. I put about 100k into each one of my alt guilds on two servers, on two accounts for leveling money, goodies, etc.
Sounds like Wow isn’t for you.

“Boss loot.” Except that proves nothing. Loot =/= gear. The bosses have “loot” sometimes. And that “loot” is at times purple quality. That loot is not gear, and it was never going to be gear. This discussion is pertaining to gear only. At no point was it claimed the enemies in Torghast have no drops. Nice try, though. You’re so determined to be right that you’re trying to completely change the context of the conversation.

Yeah I’m not sure how in the world to grind rep on everything super fast. I guess there is the key farm for the accord, and hunts for the centaurs, but the other 2 are going to be slow. I only want to unlock the quests honestly. The gear is kind of meh.

I play solo most the of the time, not even close to over for me. If there are not other ways to deal with your list of issues, there most likely will be later on.

All these various doom and gloom lack of content or no content for this and that threads seem to be forgetting it’s week two of an expansion. We got what, about 2 years of this? Chill
