Dragonflight alpha/beta thread

what a terrible choice to be forced to make. I think Sabellian is better suited to lead the Black Dragonflight. But I also like Wrathion.

I wouldnt call Wrathion new, hes been around for like 11 years now. Hes also interacted with players far more than Sabellian has and has long been a fan favorite.
I’m not sure if this is going to be a Kayn/Altruis thing since unlike that example, Wrathion and Sabellian both have reputations tied to them. But if it is, Wrathion will definitely get the majority choice just based on his greater amount of exposure/history.

i see the internal drama before me…and it sucks, because it will not be around the point why the alliance player feel its cause unjust handled…it will be about some stupid things no one of the alliance base care right now.

Same, no upstart whippersnapper will lead a whole flight on my watch.

Speaking of black dragons, has Serinar been found anywhere?

For those who don’t remember, he was one of the two black dragons that we quested with during Wrath, the other being Nalice. And while Nalice was killed during the Cataclysm rogue quest chain, Serinar’s status is currently unknown with it being speculated that he either was able to hide from Wrathion during his dragon hunt or even left Outland to join Sabellian.

The only good Alliance drama in recent years has been:

  1. the clear split in priorities between the eastern and western Alliance in BfA; and
  2. Genn taking advantage of weak leadership to go HAM on the Horde.

Turalyon acting like a competant leader and not immediately falling over to trust Deathwing’s servants isn’t worth drama.

I looked at the database and sadly nothing.

So the Players will have a choice to make?

I never liked Wrathion at all. He seemed like Anduin’s pet/boy Toy. Sure he works with the Horde, but he always seemed to have an Alliance bias.

I do not remember Sabellian all that well. But he already has my vote.

Unless there is Player Power attached to the choice, like covenants or Aldor/Scryer shoulder enchants.

well its not like that did not happens every day, in azeroth, he was not the first and he was not the last to try to end the world. malygos is just another crazy maniac in your local news.

you guys do miss Sylvanas uh? this forum is not what it used to be. not even a new expansion alpha can make things hot again. the golden days are truly over.

The difference is that Malygos would have ended the world by accident over on purpose like other threats like N’Zoth.

Illidari are famously poor judges of character.

That number surprises me, just because Kayn came across as an unhinged fanboy.

Well, to me.

Or maybe I just liked Altruis because I am old.

People like badboys. Really, Kayn felt like he represented the worse flaws of Illidan, that he was willing to burn the world to save the world.

In fairness, anyone who didn’t start playing until after TBC or couldn’t remember (or never did) the particular Outland quests involving Altruis would only really have the word of the Illidari in Legion about what he did and why, so it would make sense for them to see him as nothing more than a traitor who got a bunch of other demon hunters killed for no good reason. Given the context presented by the other NPC’s present, to plenty of people it might have even seemed odd that Altruis was presented as an option in the first place, since his defense of himself at the time was kind of vague and non-specific compared to Kayn’s associated condemnations.

I hope the Horde gets some cool dragon characters. It can’t be real that the two heirs of two dragonflights are now alliance aligned while the Horde gets nothing(Wrathion and Kalecgos).

I suspect Ebyssian will eventually lead the Black Dragonflight, as I don’t see a winner emerging from a player choice competition (Wrathion vs Sabellian) cause the result’d make part of the playerbase upset. My guess is they’ll go “Actually Ebyssian is the voice of wisdom, let’s entrust him with the state of the Flight”

I can´t see Ebyssian as dragon aspect. he was the one doing the least for the flight, it would kinda unjust to take him in charge…

"Hei, other two guys doing so much more for their own flight and one of them even try to redeem his flight by figuering out how to stop the void corruption of the black and even if he did big mistakes (two wars, for example, legion in context is partly wrathions fault), he atleast did something …no one else could or even tried.

Sabellian is even still void corrupted and helped deathwing by everything he did…until Outland.

Wrathion is just another alliance puppet. Making him the leader would just gain the alliance another uber powerful ally.

Maybe there’ll be a Black Dragon Aspect Council to go with the other dozen they’ve added.
