On a different note. It seems furbolg were also elemental at one point.
Not ideal, but I’d rather the Horde guard react with some mistrust than have them concoct some secret plans to enslave dragons for some cartoon villain purpose.
Based humans rightfully demeaning the sc*lie menace. Bring back the purge squad.
I just saw some quest text. I belueve they were turned elemental after accepting a deal. (Those who refused and were still fluffy were imprisoned/killed).
ON ANOTHER NOTE.
id anyone mentuon the loa/wild god presence yet?
The Tuskarr seem.to be close to Gral, the shark loa. They send their dead out to sea on a boat and he comes and eats them(There is an unimplemented cutscene).
And the eagle one from Highmountain(Also seemingly important since a zone is named after her) is imprisoned by centaur.
That is good by me.
I have been hating the idea of some Deathwing Designed Squad waltzing in and being trusted by everyone.
There should be misgivings. This makes me a little happier. One of my chief complaints has been : “so everyone is just OK with these Deathwing Soldiers of Doom just being our friends and trusting them?”
Sure, he wasn’t as crazy as he was in Cata. Or the War of the Ancients. But he has been nuts for a while, even before the Dragon Isles were sealed off.
Me too amg!
That is a good point. The Horde should have some folks who recall what the Horde did to Alexstrazsa:
“They are brave to come here, after what we did to the Dragon Queen.”
“We can never take back what we did to the Dragon Queen, but maybe we can help these Dragons find a home.”
Maybe it would not sit right with some people if the Horde was not as rude as the Alliance.
New Crafting Recipes in Dragonflight - Wowhead News
If anyones curious about some of the new recipes being added to Dragonflight. Looks like crafting will actually be competitive with the end game this time around
Or maybe the initial response of someone here was allready prejudged because of this persons own bias.
I mean, in the end, it makes no sense to blindly trust them. My issue is more about the reason why this beings are misstrust, not because of their heritage in regard of deathwing but because they are dragons, that doesn´t fit not really well.
I mean, i don´t even remember a single bad interaction between an non black dragon and the alliance-races.
Malygos and the blues loyal to him, as well.
The Nexus -war was a conflict not only between alliance and dragons but between all magic users against the blue one. But i guess, this could count.
Still - at the end - I would like to see the dialogues slightly changed, because as it is, they are far too general and make little sense to me in context.
A more nuanced presentation as you say …but these nuances are missing in the dialogs not only with the horde but in general, especially because the thing with Deathwing at the appearance of these creatures should certainly not be known.
No, it’s not a curse of flesh situation, those stone furbolg models are normal furbolgs being turned into elementals by the Primalists. I saw footage of it somewhere.
She is a new in between stage.
Also we have gotten some information regarding the Dracthyr starting experience.
After waking up, the Dracthyr are apparently attacked by the Avatar of the Storm (One of the big incarnate boss dragons or something).
We escape/rescue who we can and find the black dragons- Wrathion and Ebyssian.
Wrathion is injured so we heal him, and he has us search for Ebyssian who is also injured and we heal.
The Dracthyr then completely evacuate- this seems to be where we pick a faction. Speak with some Dracthyr, Nozdormu and so on.
Wait is the dracthyr starting zone open? I thought it wasn’t until next build.
It isn’t open but the quests and their related texts were datamined.
Malygos did nothing wrong.
Sure he did. He almost ended the entire world during the Nexus War. That goes beyond Doing nothing wrong and veers into I’m turning into a genocidal maniac territory
He knew you can’t trust mortals with using magic. Especially not the Kirin Tor.
Neltharion’s corrupted brood aside, both factions have spent their modern histories coexisting peacefully with dragons of every flight. They hang out in our cities, they advise our faction leaders, they work our portals. Ysera dying was a national tragedy for the night elves. Anachronos was the Horde’s special liaison during the mag’har recruitment scenario. The reds were honored friends of the highblood elves and Lor’themar literally dropped to his knees when the blues visited Quel’Thalas. The orcs’ ambassador to the dragonflights in Wrath claimed his race owes a debt to the reds for what Nekros and Zuluhed pulled.
Dragon racism is forced and tacky. If anything, there’s more basis for dragon reverence in the lore.
Malyagos was insane and trying to murder every magic user in the world. Regardless of the many responsible ones who helped to keep Azeroth safe.
Even if someone had the hypothetical argument that the common citizens didn’t experience that and their only exposure to dragons was Deathwing (and Onyxia for SW), that’s still wrong. As I said earlier the blue flight held a big party in the cities after the Tarecgosa chain.
This is a more hostile reaction than what the Old God-corrupted former-Horde void elves got. It really doesn’t make sense.
Just quoting you randomly so you get notified.
The database was updated with more NPCs and EVERY single Horde Councilmember was added at least once, so I am assuming that they will all appear when the Dracthyr arrive at Orgrimmar and join the Horde.
On Allianceside, less people: Turalyon, Tyrande, Malfurion, Jaina, Genn Greymane, and Tess Greymane are the alliance leadership added in thus far.
