As thrilled as I am about this, then the reality hits that once again this is something we should have had a long time ago and I’ve basically just become a guy who is happy for Bizz to throw crumbs.

ETA: I would be more thrilled if we could finally have a guild tabard update with colors/borders/icons and different styles but maybe in another 20 years.

Just saw the Dragonflight loading screen.

God, WoW’s characters are so boring. They just look like discounted cosplayers now.

Ok just found it… very bland. Not really terrible, but they definitely “phoned it in”.
Nozdromu really sells the whole pic as some badly themed anime poster lol.

It took me way too long to figure out that reference lol.

Final Fantasy artwork is very visually distinct. Respectfully this looks nothing like it. More makes me think of D&D, or Everquest art; the issue being that it’s more just generic fantasy fare coupled with a dramatic departure from the more comic book-like artstyle of WoW. It clashes.

Which as a tangentially related aside, I’ll point out that they still haven’t updated the hilariously outdated, not to mention hideous, EK and Kalimdor loading screens, it seems.

Disappointment. That screen feels very removed. (subjective ofc)

If that’s the feeling I end up with from DF, that will be 2 expacs in a row that I felt removed. Not a good outlook.
