Dragonflight Alpha Thread

Leaked from the Alpha:

Turalyon: Spymaster Shaw, it seems the dragons are among us once again.
Shaw: Yes, Lord Commander. We haven’t seen this level of draconic activity since the Cataclysm.
Turalyon: I’ve read the SI:7 reports on the black dragon Onyxia. How she infiltrated Stormwind in the guise of a noble and sewed division and chaos.
Shaw: Indeed. She masterminded an elaborate scheme to seize control of the throne.
Turalyon: Did she take a mate from among the humans? The nobility?
Shaw: What? I… I’m not aware of—
Turalyon: Because I’d imagine she could couple with a human and then, with her thirst satiated, take on her true form and devour them whole?
Shaw: Uh… I guess…
Turalyon: Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way to die!
Shaw: I suppose it would, Sir.

this is at least the second time they’ve been mentioned since the time they were capitalists abusing their workers

Given Turalyon’s current gossip text in the Keep, I can see why he’d be popular with the nobility who might want to see the ‘old Alliance’ restored. He mentioned the reclamation of Stromgarde as ‘a good first step’.

ive come from the shadows to say how delightfully funny it is that the implication of anduin being missing for several years has resulted in stagnant peace, more or less

So they are written as the American government. xD

Also I hope that gossip text makes it into live. I can totally see Turalyon sitting in his chambers drawing sexy vore fanart of Onyxia.

I see you saw that art piece of Hogger that was more on point than official wow art as well. You know the one.

Well its about gad dang time, the amount of times i’ve herd of a supportive time skip is enough to give me five cents atleast… maybe six if I remember my math correctly. Still felt time between these expansions should be more than just ‘one year each’ because… going to be real with you, even if its a fantasy game? There are some things like ‘so we grow humans like cabbage patch kids now?’ that kind of make you wonder.

Odd since I remember alot of people thinking all these weird story beats on (Expansion name censored) that kept insisting that ‘we need to hate Andy now even though alot of what he did isn’t his fault just because! Hush! we’re trying to get rid of all the og leaders so we can do a soft reboot!’ (My theory any way, ignore my Hyperbole silliness)

Long ago in the far off lands of Vanilla, there was a Noble that was part of a quest you could pick up in Westfall. Since then they’ve been absent.

Alliance Warlocks also kill one to get a hat in Vanilla.

I still have my hat!

There was also Lord Ebonlocke as the mayor of Darkshire pre-Legion rogue questline.

And seeing that he’s the only mayor of a town who also has a noble title, it implies that his noble title and mayorship are two separate ranks, which I find to be an interesting note on how Stormwind’s political system works.

sigh I wish there was more political drama in WoW. Vanilla quests show they can be worked into the game’s questing style, and I want more of those. Even if it’s just reflavoring basic quests as a ‘bring me 10 bear butts… so I can make a feast to persuade this local leader to support my next proposition that is about to be brought to a vote!’ I just want to see existing organizations remain active and be referenced regularly in current content, rather than forgotten about until they get a spotlight which suddenly retcons entirely new characters and themes into existence.

Dragons are now up in the Wowhead dressing room, albeit in a somewhat buggy no-elbows state

:scream: They’ve become original Forsaken models?

Do we have to unlock elbows in Dagronflight?

Two months. For each elbow. And you can only do one at a time.

DUSKWOOD? DO I HEAR DUSKWOOD LORE? Darkshire nobility is actually a really fun subject, cause a lot of the NPCs in Darkshire have relatives that are ghosts in Karazhan, the ones you fight alongside Moroes. All these ghosts are nobles, but almost none of their descendants are nobility, which suggests that the collapse of Stormwind during the First War knocked a bunch of lineages down a peg even after they re-settled the land.

Horribly buggy, can’t even switch options, and looks like you can only try to decorate the fursona…

For me everything was working except elbows and Body Size, but some of the options you need to select through the drop-down rather than clicking the arrows.

Kind of working if you go to armor and adjust the lower/upper arms and change them into vambraces. It at least covers up the forearm so it doesn’t look like the hands are floating.

1 - the options are pretty limitless, with the except of the horn / wing color. It appears they are tied together and that’s disappointing.

2 - I stand by my earlier comment saying the head is way too small. The only ‘snout option’ that looks right (IMO) are Shimada and Ancient.

I like it. Curious to see how the evoker class plays out.

I think that’s on wowhead goofing when importing them to the dressing room, not what has been the case in previews of them.

So the drop down lists work well enough, but some of the options are still don’t work. Waiting on the human options.

If I made a community that was a dragon hunter mercenary company but the catch is that we’re actually all Dracthyr and dragons in disguise trying to bring down the mercenary company but we don’t know everyone is a dragon would anyone join because that’s the only way I’ll want to RP my dracthyr lmao
