Dragonflight Alpha Thread

You know, I’m glad to see that they at least have some kind of actual flight with their wings and not just for a handful of combat abilities, but I really just wish it wasn’t limited by that huge cooldown or would allow you to hover indefinitely. It’s such a small thing, but the way that racial is tuned makes it so aggressively anti-RP when I try to imagine scenes with my hypothetical Dracthyr.

Hoping they remove the horde symbol. Also hoping for a few well-placed blood elf ships to roleplay on.

EVERYONE STOP POSTING AND LOOK AT THE FLOWER BRACELET

I wonder if that’s a mog if you have the herbalism prof?

So not sure if anyone has seen this yet or not… but it confirms a timeskip between Shadowlands and Dragonblight. What I find interesting is Shaw says several years have passed AFTER we returned from the Shadowlands. So I read this as we aren’t coming back from Shadowlands and finding out several years have passed while we were in the shadowlands, no we come back and then Blizzard is having time pass so our characters would age.

This is interesting.

Hm. Seems fake. They say that people miss Anduin. That can’t be right.

LMFAOO nah you know that is exactly right because Blizzard would never let Anduin be hated.

We’re going to receive a quest that’s necessary to advance the main story in which we agree that we don’t hate him.

It was added to the social contract.

Hey, wanna hear a joke? Here goes:

BUT MY AIM IS GETTIN’ BETTER

BUT MY AIM IS GETTIN’ BETTER

Ya see it’s it’s funny because Alliance is terrible

Honestly, I like the concept that time might advance, but we don’t age, or at the very least, we’re aging incredibly slowly.

Every Mortal that went to the Shadowlands returns altered, because the Living were never meant to enter this realm as the living. Our mortal forms are forever altered, and we’re basically MacBeth at this point. We’re Ageless, not Immortal, much like I’ve theorized that Khadgar was by the spell that Medivh/Sargeras used on him, and then spending decades in the Twisting Nether and being exposed to the energies of the Naaru.

I’m hoping it’s, at best, two or three years of rebuilding and healing ((Looks meaningfully at the Horde and the absolute mountain of things we’ve got to make right again to even get the other factions of Azeroth give us a second look)) and having something our adventurers haven’t experienced in years now.

Peace. Actual peace. Being able to get up, be with their friends and families, sleep in, go have a picnic, basically be able to have a life without having to watch an entire generation die every other year saving the world from the next blood-mad dictator, ancient evil forgotten by time or malevolent group of entropic cultists.

Azeroth should be thankful purely for the fact that I make Horde look sexy

wowhead says the dialogue might be scrapped content. it’d be nice to have any passage of time

but also sorry to the alliance and their boring white blond blue eyed boy who the writers are still fixated on

I’ve said it many times, but Blizz needs better writers, or perhaps an established author they can talk too so they have consistency and a more realistic timeline going forward.

It’s absolutely ridiculous we’re supposed to accept that there’s been one huge extinction-level event after another every expansion. Also the amount of troops they throw at every battle, where do they come from? There hasn’t been enough time passing for them to have their children grow up and get drafted, trained and sent to the meat grinder…

I get that warcraft is basically Discount Warhammer, but a little logic and realism would be nice.

Happy natty hot dog day everyone

Huh. I’d figure Turaylon would be opposite. Popular with the people to the point the nobles are getting nervous that Anduin - and by extension themselves - might soon be out of a job.

Out with the hereditary monarchy, in with the Military Junta!

“I can’t understand why the leopards ate my face, I voted for them!”

Yes, yes people can be this stupid and still be functional. That said I would laugh my large, hairy posterior off if the Nobles did this and got annihilated as a result. What little we’ve seen of the ‘Court of Nobles’ of Stormwind paints them as incompetent, bigoted and corrupt that exist purely to be the monkeywrench in the Alliance’s political schemes.

I’m going to level with you.

This is the first time I’ve heard Stormwind’s nobles mentioned.

There are always enough children for the meat grinder and now I will leave my politics at the WrA door with a song.
