Agree. That’s why I think Dracthyr Warriors, Hunters, Shamans, Rogues, Mages, and Druids along with Monks would be good additions to the race.

Dracthyr isn’t even the dragon race we should have gotten… the males and females look like the same petite framed lizards with wings–with an option to have kinda beefy-ish arms–that then also have a visage that can only look like a human… with scales
Every time I see one of the drakonids I’m disappointed all over again about dracthyr, which considering how drakonids are EVERYWHERE, I get those feelings quite often. I want to play as a drakonid sooo much more than I would care to play as dracthyr anything.

If they are able to fight as hunters outside of their dragon form though, it defeats the point of playing the dragon race…
The same is true for void elf or LF draenei hunters.
It’s a non issue. Let people play however they want.

I kinda hate this mechanic honestly, especilly as Worgen.
I always felt like the appeal of Worgen was the duality, the struggle between man and beast.
And Grayman reflects this well, he’s showen as often as human as he is a worgen, and in HotS his gameplay was about swapping between the two forms, fit perfect.
But as players it’s jsut all worgen form all the time.
It’d be way cooler if you could stay in human for in combat, but effects like Bloodlust, or other class empower abilities (power infusion, true shot, etc) would force them into worgen form.

Seriously haha I will say, I don’t mind the Worgen form as much as Dracthyr since it shows all armor properly… but I hate that as a Dracthyr almost every part of our appearance gets overridden like the dh metamorphosis form.
It extra makes me sad since I think the visage forms look amazing. Personally really hope they will rework the current Dracthyr racials to not be so built around the evoker class and they make it so people can use the visage form for other classes.

The class restrictions are much like blizzard, empty in the head and small where it counts.
Every race that can walk is more then capable of being a warrior.
These dudes were breed to be perfect killing machines and they cant even swing a stick much like their wings lol…

Weren’t you the same one who kept saying high elf customizations wouldn’t be a thing for void elves because it would be terrible for the game?
This so much, honestly. Worgen needs tails and a human/Worgen toggle urgently. They’re all about controlling their form, yet we can’t do that in game.
You guys have my support.
This 100%. Visage form looks so cool, I would love it if I could show off my customizations in combat. And while I do think making Evokers available to other races doesn’t make much sense with lore as it is right now, dracthyr being other classes is already canon. They already have other resource voice emotes (“out of rage” etc.) and all combat poses and animations are ready.

As a shadow priest I massivly relate to this, I put effort into getting my character to look how I want but then it all gets hidden by shadow form. I imagine its even worse for Dracthyr

Yep, like the biggest endgame play Blizzard is pushing right now is cosmetic collectibles… yet their new “race” can’t even utilize them properly. It’s tragic. I can give evokers a pass since they’re built around being a dragonkin and the best of their kind or whatever haha but like so many have already pointed out, there is no reason why they couldn’t be other classes and even just use their visage forms for combat.

Wouldn’t bother me, I’ve even wished we had more customization around the Demon hunter meta form and could stay as it more during combat like Illidan does.

I tried to like them, but they need to have more bulk and size for a warrior/melee option. And I agree, they should have more classes available for them.

If you’ve seen the body type options, you can’t really claim that they’re anorexic geckos. That is incredibly messed up on various levels.
Body type 4, is a very muscular body, that is healthy. Not every male race needs to be as bulked/roided out as an Orc or Dreanei in order to be considered non-anorexic or a healthy warrior.
But beyond this, I’m super excited for when we do get more Dracthyr classes, it’s only a matter of time now.
