Dracthyr, NEED more Classes

A horrifically stupid and lazy turn of events. If this turns out to be true, it essentially dooms the race to a one-expansion pony trick and just reinforces the notion that the Dracthyr, for whatever reason, are just utterly incapable of learning anything new. That’s not a proper race, that’s a robot shaped like a dragon.

So, so stupid.

Yeah it’s not a fun thought, especially since that would basically lock out a race from a whole role in the game unless they go back and add a spec, you know that thing that only happened once in the whole existence of the game.

That would require effort, and we all know Blizzard nowdays is allergic to work.

Maybe if they expanded their work schedule beyond tuesday, we could have nicer things.

I’d prefer to not see more dracthyr than I already do.

They absolutely need more classes. I feel that the potential of this race is squandered by only being able to be one class as well as no transmog for dragon form.

I’m still going to main a Dracthyr simply because its a reptilian race. However I do have a lot of criticism about how this race was executed.

I saw that article today, just a shame if that’s legit. Such a wasted opportunity, but what else was I expecting from Blizzard at this point?

It would be simple as pie to explain both non-Evoker Dracthyr as well as non-Dracthyr Evokers.

Non-Evoker Dracthyr could be those that tried but ultimately failed the trials, or those that looked at the trials and decided not to partake. They could easily find purchase as sellswords or spellslingers, though their draconic elements would be less practiced and pronounced. So essentially they’d have something like a ‘flap’ for a double-jump, maybe a very low-potency breath weapon, etc.

Non-Dracthyr Evokers meanwhile would undergo a ritual to assume draconic elements and further train and augment them through spell and personal will. Dracthyr racials would pretty much be retooled into Evoker-only features (including Soar), and wings and tails would be given to races that lack them. For races that DO have them, they’d simply retain their current physiology. So for instance, a Vulpera Evoker would get wings, but wouldn’t get a new tail (and would look turbo-cute tail-bashing folks with the fluff).

See? Easy.

unlike worgen your tmog is near invisible while playing a dracthyr. Expect this to be changed within a month to allow visage 24/7 via glyph

as much as I hate it I think we have to just accept it

Now we riot until the cave on another spec then because if we don’t then we will end up with more races locked out of parts of the game for no good reason.

We can try. but this is blizz, by the time they cave we’ll be in 11.0 and probably getting some new race or class.

Bumping this thread. Dracthyr need more classes.

I am not sure they can be shamans. They are fighting against the primalists, who use the elements.

Doesn’t matter. Allow people to have options.
How boring and uninspiring to lock a race to one class.
Also, stop having one Dracthyr locked to one realm!

Dracthyr warrior would be awesome.

They really just need at least one class that can tank. Not being able to play an entire role as a specific race is silly.

Yeah, Dracthyr warrior would be sweet.

If only they could wear transmog, they would look so good in plate armor

Personally, I think I would level a Dracthyr mage, or yet another hunter. I can’t resist the idea of dragons taming dragons XD

That is exactly what I want, a warrior Dracthyr.

I already planned the tmog and weapons and everything. I only need blizz to listen to us and make it happen QQ
