Yeah but sadly that really seems to point 11.0 Prepatch at best for more options
I am convinced that Dracthyr will eventually have a lot more races, but I am not happy with how Dracthyr looks. It should look bulkier and have an actual “dragon form” that is able to fly.
They can do Dragon Flight, and I’m sure they will get regular flight when unlocked.
Why else would they release a Dracthyr in flight animation?

Fair, but it’s kinda messed up imo that they don’t have more races, and are listed as a Race, with an exclusive class. Instead of just saying Evoker is a hero class for certain pre-existing races that can then go Dragon.
But nothing we can really do at this point, other then wait and see if they’ll add more, as they’ve hinted or not.
I keep seeing these posts and I have to wonder, do people understand that the reason they are doing it this way is because they don’t want to spend the dev time making animations for this new race to work with old classes.
Your asking blizzard to spend dozens if not hundreds of dev hours when they have been in cost cutting mode for the last few years.
Don’t give up though, maybe by next xpac after dragonflight they will do it if you make enough noise now.
They use already made rigs, meaning the animations are already there. They would just have to refine them, in order to not clip with the wings.
I know they’ve specifically said the race will have racials separate to the class. Which isn’t needed if they don’t intend to open them up at somepoint in the future.
As for cost cutting, they’ve already done that with Dracthyr. Although I love them so far. We do know they can’t wear armor, beyond MAYBE a tabard, shoulders, and a belt in their natural forms. Instead they’ll have barber shop armor clothing to swap on and off as they please.

I want to be also be able to play with MORE than 1 Dracthyr. More classes will help this. They’re only locked to 1 per server because of Evoker, not Dracthyr.
Like Night/Blood Elf can only be Demon Hunter but we can make more other Night/Blood Elves, even if we can only have 1 DH.
Please reconsider Blizz, I want to make one of each gender just like I’ve done with all the other races.

Blizzard has already stated they will get access to more classes, like warrior. It just doesn’t make sense on release cause they have been locked away from everything for ages.
That is not the right argument …
I mean just look at all the transformations you can do with consumables or toys.
Fish people, Automata from ZM, and many more.
All of those work to an extend with all classes.

lol as if they didn’t have warriors before they were locked up? That makes ZERO sense because being a warrior is just being good with a weapon and wearing heavy armor. Its not some magical thing.

1 class for a race is nothing new, other mmo games have been doing it for years.
Not having to make animations for every class would save tons of time (money) the lore can just be made up to explain away this.
Don’t know why pointing this out is a “bad take” whatever that is supposed to mean, and unless blizzard is going to prove me wrong with a video of dracthyr using a wide range of class abilities that they have animations for already I think it is a very reasonable stance to take as why they are only getting access to a single class.
If the race is popular enough and people keep asking I do think they will add more classes (as I said in my other post)

as i stated in videos about Dragonflight, they probably will learn to be other classes later on, but think about it for a moment, this race of manufactured Dragon/Human hybrids have been asleep since before The Sundering. they probably dont even KNOW about other classes, but they will learn through interacting with our characters and our factions, learning about all that has transpired since they slept.

A warrior could be a dracthyr who was just good at combat and fighting with claws and teeth. In a primitive culture a warrior could be some guy who is just good at fighting with whatever is at hand.
