The Dracthyr arent going to trust a bunch of azorothian murder hobos right off the bat and do anything besides ranged dps/healing. Tanking puts their life at too much risk and clearly Dracthyr value their lives more than any of the other azorothian races even fathom. Never has there ever been a Dragon in the history of WoW who tanked damage from or for a raid and lived to tell about it.
Everyone advocating for Dracthyr to tank is just advocating for Dracthyricide because they need to be able to tank.

Being a warrior still requires Training.
AND it requires weapons and armor.
Where exactly would Dracthyr get those? Dragons are not really prone to wear armor or weapons afaik.
Sigh. Except that someone DID pick up a weapon and had no idea how to use it at first and then learned. Where did all the first warriors come from then hmm? Did they just come out of nowhere? fully grown and instant masters of their weapons?
And Dracthyr are NOT dragons. They are some hybrid of dragon and humanoid.

So? that still doesn’t explained where Dracthyr would get dragon/dracthyr sized weapons or armors.

We do not know IF the races introduced in the reveal where on the Dragon Isles while it was slumbering.
10000 years is a whole lot of time … and one might think the civilization would be a bit more evolved in that time.
Also Dracthyr were not awake this whole time. (afawk)
They are created to wield the dragon magic and may not have had time to develop other skills before put into stasis.

Adopting other civilizations weaponry and armor could make them better fighters as well as allow them to blend amongst other races if they felt the need.
Adopting is the right word.
But to adopt something, you have to first encounter it.

God. You know, I barely looked into all things Dragonflight when the announcement was out. Read pretty soon into that research somewhere that they intend to add more classes to Dracthyr. YW! BTW Google!

Potentially but there would be scholars and archivists among the Dracthr ranks who could potentially see the value in using what other Dracthyr would view as primitive or outdated weapons.
It would be difficult for them to impress on others depending on their cultural values but it isn’t outside the realm of possibility that one or more skilled Dracthyr have at least explored the possibility out of boredom or sport.
Again I didn’t say they would be any good at it. Its like you think someone cant pick up a potential weapon and learn how to be good with it over time on their own. Which has indeed happened. How the hell do you think people even made up martial arts styles? Fencing? kendo? Someone who had ZERO idea what they were doing made up those things over time as they learned from trial and error. That knowledge didn’t just come out of a void, a vaccum. Same with any other knowledge.
At what time would there be scholars?
That would mean dracthyr where outside of the Isles at some point before the Dragon Isles went to slumber.
The timeline as far as we know is:
Dracthyr created by Neltharion to be the perfect soldier that uses all 5 of the dragon magic.
Dragon Isles put into sleep mode before or during the sundering
10000 years later Dragon Isles awake again by Stoney Tony
