Dracthyr, NEED more Classes

I’m not harassing you, lol. If you think someone asking what you have in mind is harassment, then you need help.

I’ve not reported a single one of your posts, for the record. Nor have I been crying victim. But it is offensive to just label a body type falsely as a twink. Especially when it’s usually referring to a submissive and skinny gay individual. I’m just pointing out that you’re using the wrong terminology, and some people would find that hurtful. Like if you’re going to say they look queer, then at least use the right body type terms, lmao.

BUT either way, you still have NEVER ACTUALLY EXPLAINED what you have in mind.

So, what is it that you’re wanting?

Literally first and only intended comment.

But there is no way to tell the difference between the genders. You have not stated how they can do such. Also, whenever such was pointed out, you fell back on your stupid “twink” and androgynous argument, not seeming to understand that, outside mammals all creatures look androgynous at initial glance. At least to the point it takes someone who has studied anatomy to tell the difference.

For whatever reason, I expected GD to be psyched. Instead they are complaining… about EVERYTHING.

I see some great you tube videos, Wowhead forums are much more enthusiastic. GD… same as always, buncha rotten bananas.

Never seen Taliesin and Evitel?
It is usually a Sh*tshow

I feel like I should quit trying to be nice on the forums.

I never get quotes on the sh*tshow section of the video. :frowning:

UPDATE From Taliesin’s Twitter Chat Thing:

Dracthyr’s Story:

  • Apparently you as a playable Dracthyr wake up in a crash of sorts, and you don’t remember much of anything. All you know is that you’ve been asleep for an un-certain amount of time, with an incredibly foggy memory of everything. Your starter zone quests will be about helping your friends wake up, and coming to terms with the fact that you basically know nothing. You then start to uncover the mystery of why you went to sleep and more story on Deathwing, his fate, and ultimately what became of him.

  • Dracthyr were a secret experiment that NO ONE knew about, Alexstraza is apparently confused to find out that they even exist.

  • Another part of the story, is that Deathwing KNEW of some ancient threat, POSSIBLY the one the Jailer hinted at. This threat is why you were created, to protect the planet from it. The threat has also reawakened with you (the dracthyr and the dragon isles). Apparently the Dracthyr/Evoker starter area wil expand into the greater DF storyline to help piece together more lore mysteries and stories.

To be fair, I and several others are PSYCHED as all hell. But I want more Dragon options to be playable, so I’m using the forums to express that I want to play more classes with these super cool creatures they 're giving us.

There is a difference between a post giving valid reasons why you want something. And a post that just basically says…

“Wow sucks. Same old Crap. They are gonna fail. This is gonna suck. Dratchyr look like CRAP”…

Those are the ones that drive me nuts. You can’t make a constructive post without them flying in and trolling.

I thought we were moving away from the universal threat thing, at least for this expansion. Even if it’s not the same threat as the one the Jailer mentioned, the fact that there’s another ancient threat we have to stop yet again isn’t encouraging.

Hell, the fact that it may be a separate threat to the one the Jailer mentioned might be worse. It’s sounds like it’s back to the, “bigger bad than I” mentality.

I’m sure they need the threat for raid reasons ultimately.

This:

If we didn’t have clear baddies, then they wouldn’t be able to easily make raids that have a clear villain/person to fight.

Personally, I’m leaning more towards a threat against the dragons, maybe to do with the elementals some more. Since we already know the Primalists are gonna be a big bad for 10.0’s raid. So it could just be tied to that, who knows.

But either way I’d prefer an ancient 10,000+ year old threat on the Dragon Isles of Azeroth, as opposed to someone who wasn’t present or used at all like the Jailer, and he didn’t even have direct ties to our world or characters.

Which the more I think about it, they could always through in a brand new Old God, you never know, lol. I’m just saying if it IS an Old God, then it better get more then just 1 patch of development or tie into like a Black Empire xpac. lmao

And an ancient 10,000+ plus year old threat that we know nothing about isn’t like the Jailer? We know nothing about this threat, but your already sure it’s going to be better than the Jailer. It can just as easily be the same thing, especially since, again, we know nothing about it.

I never said I was against having a clear bad guy. I just want something more down to earth, so to speak. I suppose I shouldn’t jump to conclusions, but an, “ancient” threat leads me to believe this will be exactly like the Jailer. Ancient threats tend to be very powerful, which would lead one to wonder why we’ve never heard of it before now, just like the Jailer. If it really is trying to destroy the dragons, and possibly Azeroth, it’s influence would be difficult to hide.

Pretty sure I answered this issue already.

Ion straight up said in one of his interviews that Dracthyr could learn from the Alliance and Horde to become other classes but that wont happen till probably the end of Dragonflight because thats how their story unfolds.

Until then…suck it up people.

How about no? These are public forums, which are meant for players to voice their wants with eachother, and to the Devs.

Many here have seen the commentary from Ion on the matter. But we don’t know for sure when or if they actually will add them in. So we are still talking about the possibility.

If we just “sucked it up” and didn’t talk about it, like it was Bruno, then the Devs wouldn’t ever add more in for the Dracthyr. Because they would think the players don’t care.

I get your point, I really do. I just mean that if it’s an ancient threat toward the Dragons and potentially Azeroth itself. Then that already has more of a story hook for us then the Jailer.

Like, he kidnapped Anduin, and that was the extent we really saw or heard of him until 9.1’s ending, and he wasn’t THAT present in 9.2. So not only did they refuse to show him or develop him, we as the players also didn’t have much of a driving force to fight him, other then the fact that took Anduin, and then eventually caused the SL (our afterlife) to be eternal suffering for everyone.

So in my opinion, having a big bad grounded on Azeroth, ancient and unknown or not, is already better storywise then how little they gave us for the Jailer.

Although we do know that they’ve also said this expansion will likely have a big bad, but they’re going to build it up over the course of the expansion’s storyline, and want us to learn who that is, as time goes on.

Ah, I see what you mean. No argument there I guess. I suppose as long as they don’t try to make the big bad some puppeteer that has been pulling the strings in the background for thousands of years again, it could work. I could see it being something the Aspects sealed away many years ago.

I get that and voicing concerns and opinions is fine. My gripe is that there is literal information and facts behind Blizz’s reasoning behing why there is just the Evoker at first. My gripe is that people are jumping to conclusions without reading/listening/watching all the info first.

Even the lore behind the Dracthyr supports why they arent other classes. They have been literally sleeping for 10k years and just wake up having no idea whats going on or where their leader, Deathwing, is. So when they wake up all they know how to do is flap their wings a big and shoot stuff from their mouths.

Cool but the Lore isn’t explaining why the Devs made a deliberate choice to lock and entire role out of being the new race for an indeterminate amount of time.

The Lore is the explanation why …
What else do you need?

Well I cant answer that outside of what they already said as they are inherently a caster race. Maybe its development time? Animation issues?

I dont see people complaining Demon Hunters cant heal as a class and they are still restricted to one race per side.

Well since the lore doesn’t spontaneously come into existence on Ion’s desk in the middle of the night I want the people who actually make the choices to at least give a reason for giving tanks the middle finger and and giving us the standards blizzard “laters” and “possibly”. That’s what a lot of us want.
