They have for sure seen the criticism. They addressed it. They are moving forward with their vision. I’m fine with it. If you’re not that’s OK.
At least Evoker being Dragon specific makes sense, but it doesn’t make sense to not let the dragons be other classes.
The Night Elven society already a LOT of the conventional magics figured out 10,000 years ago. Which is why we even see so many magical similarities in the Nightborne, despite them being locked away for 10,000 in a secluded bubble.
It starts with 1-3 classes, then branches out into into more down the road. “Give an inch, and they take a mile.” It’s like the Elven community who only wanted a little bit with the elves, now they scream for nothing but elves in this game.

I don’t see how a race of people using a sword would hurt your immersion, but okay.
Anyway, my concern is that the race cannot tank. The entire race. It’s a weird limiation, to put it nicely.
They haven’t said a word in response to the criticism on this front as far as I know. They did talk about concerns with the visual representation of the race though.
I don’t think stupid is the right word. More like misguided.
I think they’re genuinely trying to make something cool and unique, which is great, but they really shouldn’t exclude an entire section of the playerbase in doing so.
It could work just fine with a tank spec without harming the vision with just an ounce of creativity put into it.

That’s such a toxic viewpoint. You can’t possibly compare the High Elf community with this instance. Especially when it seems like MOST of the playerbase also agrees that a BRAND NEW RACE deserves at least a COUPLE classes.
Don’t be toxic dude, the PUBLIC FORUM is essentially what us players have when it comes to trying to communicate our wants and grievances with the Devs.

Funny thing is there is alot of MMOrpg s out there that do the ONE race and ONE class only combo this is nothing new at all.

Where did you see this? I haven’t seen them address it.
Again, I’ve seen them address the visual concerns but not the class concerns.

Yes I can, and i just did. There’s nothing toxic about it when the forums scream the truth. Give somebody an inch, they take a mile later on. It’s how this community works and its sickening. Stop trying to make every race every class. I’m personally not for it. Can’t speak for others.

Not asking for every race to be every class. We’re asking for this race to have a few options.
Hell, they could have ONE class if that class could perform all three roles–tank, healer, and dps (ranged in this case.) They can’t at the moment, and it excludes tanks from being able to play the race at all. This is not cool, to put it simply.

That’s not what this is trying to do, by your VERY own logic, it means that NOTHING new should EVER come to the game, because people might want more new things.
What’s SICKENING, is people like you, who try and make it seem like reasonably saying that we should get a couple classes with a RACE, is something awful.
You’re not screaming any truth at all…
It would be ONE thing if EVOKER was a class option like DH where it changed what ever race had it, to have the dragon form, and fight in it.
But they made the distinction of having it be it’s own RACE.
