Thematically they could just have a racial to breathe fire. This, paired with the dragon riding mechanics that the race can naturally participate in, is plenty to theme them as a dragon.
Heck, that aside, if they were to design a tank spec for evoker, imagine a tank that has wings and can breathe fire that tanks with a spear + magic. That would be insanely cool.
I just think that less likely than them adding other classes, which is why I’m advocating for additional classes. The race fantasy is there regardless.
But whatever they do… they should be able to tank.
I’ve tanked for over 10 years and I may switch to dps just because it’s a dragon race. Which is what I’ve been hoping would be added since I started playing in 2007.
The race really needs an option to tank, whatever that would be.

And so is Blizzard. The risk they’re taking makes no SENSE at all. Nobody would be upset if the Evoker was available to more races. But since it isn’t, people are pissed.
Alpha isn’t even open (correct me if I’m wrong) and they’re already cutting corners. Blizzard is going to **** out another rushed expansion.
You mean like fire mage and frost DKs kinda do already.
I love Void Elves, don’t get me wrong, in fact I main one currently. But TBF, the entire VOID ELF shtick is to be a conduit of the Void and it’s magic. Meaning that by all rights, Shadow Priest, Affliction Warlock, and Death Knight are the ONLY classes they should have. Since mages can’t even use void spells.
Dracthyr uses the fem worgen skeleton at least this variant we’ve seen of it, so in theory they could port other animations over in time.
There are AT LEAST 3 body type options, maybe some form of slider for Dracthyr form, and they didn’t want to deal with Armor scaling for that. Which is why as of now only Shoulders, Tabards, and Belts are mentioned by Blizz as POSSIBLY showing up in both Visage and Dracthyr form.
They are dragons who are made via Deathwing’s experiments, the lore for could imply both Shaman and even Shadow Priest. Based on Dragons evolving from Elementals, and Deathwing falling to void.
There is a difference between asking for 1 - 3 more classes out of the 13, and asking for ALL 13. MOST people are just asking for a couple more options, with at least ONE tank.
They aren’t FULLY artificial, they are crafted from Deathwing’s experiments, and the dragons are gifted in various class skills. For instance Bronze dragons and Blue Dragons are both good at Arcane skills and spells, ON TOP of their blue or bronze magic. This race is an amalgamation of the 5 most POWERFUL dragon types who evolved from Elementals. It’s a bit absurd to give them even fewer classes then Lightforged Draenei.
