I think a lot of people just want a simple toggle to make the class have a broader appeal, instead of being locked behind a sort of niche-looking race. It doesn’t hurt anyone, and its just a toggle, accommodating the dragon animations by doing a metamorphosis DH eyebeam sort of thing when you do things that require your wings, or tail.
It fulfills the core warcraft dragon fantasy, and gives us all more choice and encourages more people to adopt the class. ![ ](https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/smiley.png?v=10)

I do hope you can be in your human form for more than just standing in town.

New feature! Transmog your race!
Its coming.

Even the “human” forms face is… way too complex. It really does not fit with the aesthetic of any of the other races. They really needed to tone it TF down.

The dragons look awesome. If you want to play an elf/human, you have about 200 to choose from.
I hate to be that guy but seriously. You have other options if you just want to be an elf–or if you want to be a big hulking brute of a character.
I like the dragons exactly as they are. They just need more classes. lol

I don’t think they will considering how does one do the wing burst with no wings

They could do a Demon Hunter eyebeam metamorphosis sort of thing, where you go into dragonform for a second to do these mandatory animations, if they don’t feel like animating the other rigs to spawn wings or a tail to perform them.

I think the dragon form looks good. It is still customizable so you can make it how you like it I presume.

Don’t worry OP:
- Draconic Heritage: Dracthyr Evokers freely switch between two customizable forms—choosing between a humanoid visage, and a fearsome draconic form to battle foes and overcome obstacles.
So have fun with that humanoid form all you want.
Edit: Sorry OP. Looks like they’ll be Worging out.
Still early but if they are listening/watching feed back there should be an option to not have scales appear on the face or horns for those who don’t want to.
That sounds like your forced into dragon form like worgen
“In combat you’re primarily in Dracthyr form,” said Brian Holinka, Lead Combat Designer on Dragonflight.

Another shallow “person”.
Right, but to what extent? That’s the major concern. The one they showed looked like the lizard people that will be eventually taking over planet Earth
Well considering the new class is tied to them I think this take is a bit horse poop.

I mean I’d be more flexible with it if I could change the body type. I feel like if they made it less lithe it’d have a less…Lizard quality about it. Or even just like spikes on the shoulders or something. Atm it feels like a gecko or a racing lizard dyed with easter colors.

It’s not “most people” it’s the humans and elves only community. They look great, and we have to see what they look like in armor.

I think given that its an entire new class, it shouldn’t be gated behind a contentious appearance.
MMOs are about choice, and adding a simple toggle isn’t too much to ask to broaden the appeal of the expansion’s center-stage feature, if it makes more people happy, and is lore friendly.

People said the same thing about DH’s only being elves but they got over it eventually.

Never mind then. More Worging out when it comes to fighting.
I’m willing to wait and see how far the customization goes and whether or not they’re like worgen and forced to go into their draconic form for combat.
If you could customize one to look as normal as possible (like every other dragon we’ve ever seen in a humanoid form), and they could maintain that form even in combat, I think visually the race would be fine. So long as players have that freedom of choice, things look good.
That said, being locked ONLY to Evoker is very, very lame.
