Evoker is definitely S tier in mythic+ and raiding as far as dps is concered they’re doing reall well

Even for raids, Fury is smashing much more than most melee. WTF is C-tier for ?

Probably shouldn’t take advice from “Wowhead’s editorial board”. They don’t even play the game, they mostly e-celeb drama on twitter.

Also I was 100% wrong about the arcane mage hype, they are very good.

Everything seems pretty accurate compared to Warcraft Logs, except for maybe balance druid, I’m guessing it’s because maybe they bring lots of utility for fights?

Anyone have an answer for this, or is that one just incorrect?

Disclaimers About This Tier List

This tier list is designed to be an interesting discussion of what we think will make certain specs valuable to top Mythic+ teams, but it should not be used to decide which spec you’re going to play or which specs you’ll invite to your groups. It also does not aim to sort classes based solely on damage meters but rather on pushing value - which specs will add the most value to a Mythic+ team and what specs will be meta defining. It’s likely that there will be several balance changes over the coming weeks. We will endeavor to update the tier list whenever balance changes occur and as our understanding of the metagame solidifies.

Historically, damage has been king for most, if not all, seasons of Mythic+. We think that there is a bit of a paradigm shift with the first season of Dragonflight as survivability is now drastically more valuable even at lower levels of dungeons. The amount of damage that many dungeons can output onto their players even at low keystone levels levels is considerably higher than previously experienced. Damage and Utility are still important variables to consider, but survivability now goes beyond “can you live these one shots.”

The criteria that we have used to rank these specs has expanded further this season with survivability being so important. Damage, Utility, and Survivability are now all in heavy consideration. Damage will always be very important for DPS specializations as this will allow you to complete the key in a faster timeframe. Additionally, more damage typically leads to less damage taken. Utility in Mythic+ is typically the least important variable, but there is a lot of polarizing utility that will allow dungeons to be completed easier. Bloodlust is a prime example of this, and if you do not have a lust in your group it could be worth taking a “worse” spec in order to get that utility. Survivability as stated above is now incredibly important with now bosses and trash having high amounts of burst damage, and this tier list ended up very weighted towards damage and survivability first.

Defensively, Hunter is by far the worst class in the game. Fortitude of the Bear, Survival of the Fittest, Aspect of the Turtle and Exhilaration at face value do not seem bad, but Hunter has no self sustain and the cooldown on these defensives are very long. In a list that has primarily focused on Survivability, being the worst defensive class in the game while having medium amounts of damage is not great.

This list was created and is maintained by Dratnos and Tettles, raiders in World 29th and World 64th respectively. You can find them at their Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as their podcast, the Titanforge Podcast, which is hosted on the GG WoW YouTube channel. In addition to this raiding experience, both Dratnos and Tettles have extensive experience doing dungeons at a high level and commentating the MDI, TGP, and Race to World First.

I raid mythic, I stand by what I said about tier lists. 99% of the people reading them don’t even understand why the classes are ranked the way they are so they assume its DPS numbers and they don’t take utility etc…into account let alone know how to properly use those types of abilities at the right moments.

You may have farmed a bunch of old raids on mythic but you didn’t raid current content in mythic unless it was on another account. But that still doesn’t add up to what you’ve done on this account since it’s played at such a lower difficulty level. Anyways, enjoy your day.
