I didn’t suggest that, as I said in the second half I think the people who sent them are fake.

I have really complicated feelings about that scene. It’s so incredibly satisfying and yet at the same time it makes me very uncomfortably because of how close it might come to how a stalker imagines themselves while escalating their grievances into the real world.
I know Jack Gleeson, who played Joffrey in Game of Thrones, also got a lot of hate because of the character.
That strikes me as non-sequitur.
To suggest that the people who sent those posts are faked would imply that Laura is the type to make stuff up?
I’m not starting a fight, just looking for clarification?

That doesn’t matter. You have to take all threats seriously in order to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Besides, even fake threats of violence are illegal.

I think they’re suggesting that everything happened, but that it’s not angry gamers sending the messages but trolls trying to make gamers look bad.

We should start a movement to shut down twitter. People have been going out of control and think they can say whatever they want and not worry about the person committing suicide over their comment. Yeah it’s just words we shouldn’t take it too far but you don’t know what the person could’ve dealt with that makes them so sensitive.
Same with Reckful, people need to learn to shut up and just let things be things. If the game sucks the game sucks move on and don’t play it. Ya can call me an idiot for sticking up for them but I don’t care, Twitter has got to go.

I don’t think her falling for fake messages makes her a fraud, and they could be legitimate for sure, she’d have no way of knowing herself. I am just saying with how the game was received and the climate around it people do have something to gain by making it look like gamers are awful sorts.

Shutting down Twitter wouldn’t do anything. If not Twitter then it’d be some other social media website like Facebook. We’re not very well going to be able to start a movement to shut down all attempts at social media.
Being that it was based off books, I imagine he left the show because his character was supposed to die when he did.
Though as I understand it, he stepped away from acting in part because of it(also in part because he never really wanted to act full time).

I love fiction as much as the next guy, but once you start literally hating the actors in real life for the role they play. There is an issue.

Ah okay, I see. Apologies for the misunderstanding. I do agree that motivation to troll could be there, but I think its real in this case.
