Don't threaten voice actors

No joke, it needs renamed Anti-social Media.

lol nerds.

I mean. I agree yet don’t at the same time.

I’m confused. The voice actor’s 2-year-old is receiving death threats as a result of Mom’s work in a video game?

It’s all good. I just stay away from actors and politicians. They are very high on the antisocial and psychopath scale.

Eeyup. Someone threatened they were gonna slit their throats “mark my words”

Thankfully most threats usually amount to nothing. But =/ Giving this year I wouldn’t doubt it’s someone that would follow threw. I hate 2020.

Ah. My confusion stems from the thread title referencing threatening actors.

I’d rather be safe than sorry. Especially with a kid possibly in danger.

People are incredibly toxic and just want to stir the pot over nothing. So it’s probably in their best interest to either not use Social Media or ignore all these threats that these people are saying that they won’t ever commit to because they are hiding behind a computer monitor.

On the other side of the spectrum however you can argue Laura Bailey made it worse but posting about it for attention and riled up the toxic people even more to give them even more toxic behavior. Which is usually on 60:40 or 70:30 Toxic to positivity ratio.

Twitter is becoming Western 4chan.

Yeaaaah too many shootings recently at schools had BLATANTLY obvious recorded threats that were ignored even on youtube.

I’d rather authorities not take chances

Yeah that is what my first thought was as well. I don’t understand why someone would start posting on twitter drawing more attention to it. Then again maybe the Police had her do it to try and lure the guy out. idk. It’s freaking weird though. Personally it’s the last thing I’d do.

I was feeling grim, but this comment got a nice chuckle out of me. Thank you.

I wasn’t in the know, so I googled and saw it’s people fling death threats at her and the developers for supposedly pushing gay and trans agendas by including gay or trans type people. The character Laura voices is a muscular female who killed off some other protagonist.

Laura has responded and expressed dismay and being overwhelmed, but also great appreciation for the larger array of positive and supportive comments she’s receiving. Since we can’t shutdown twitter, folks might just break it with an overwhelming positivity counterattack…

Also whatever anyone’s opinions or politics, nobody should have to fear for their lives…

Her character wasn’t even trans. The person they based her off was just BUFF

Oh the writers were still stupid with how they handled TLOU2 but it’s nothing to wish death upon over

People are just angry that ND killed off one of the protagonists from the first game and that the scenario writing went to crap in the sequel. That’s no reason to tell someone toxic and hateful things.

What exactly did that last of us game do to make people so mad at it

It took characters that were well loved, made them BEYOND stupid compared to how they were before, all for a “revenge bad” plot.

Imagine if John Wick murdered all those dudes but stopped and didn’t kill the dude that killed his dog.

2020 is a freaking mess, but 2021 should be batter unless a huge asteroid slams into the earth between now and then. Pretty sure huge asteroid is the only thing missing from 2020’s debacles.

Complete bastardization of pre-established characters.

Well Blizzard turns all the faction npcs stupid at the start of every expansion to keep horde v alliance strife going. I suppose that doesn’t strike the same nerve as race and lgbtq matters, but nobody deserving of death threats either way. Did any Warcraft players ever fling death threats at anyone at Blizzard? Seems to me the most outraged players just type in caps and declare they’re unsubbing. Might be neat to learn Warcraft fans aren’t the most toxic fans in the universe. If we need a silver lining to our cloud…
