These are the same types of people who bullied Kelly Marie Tran off the internet for her performance as Rose in The Last Jedi. Neither she nor Laura Bailey deserves any of this.

the prison system is currently doubling as a mental hospital. state run mental hospitals were closed down when they were found to be abusive and neglectful to patients. sadly, this resulted in a lot of mentally ill people living on the streets, who eventually get put in prison, even if only as a mercy to get them out of the freezing cold with a warm bed, food and shower for the night.

Sunk cost fallacy. Star Wars is a franchise that stretches back to the 70s and encompasses virtually all forms of media including film, television, video games, and comics. Once you’ve invested a certain amount of time into a product, facing the reality that the thing you liked was never even all that great to begin with is… well, it’s like pulling teeth. It’s easier to blame other people for making a sub-par product than it is forcing yourself to simply take it as it is.

Man, I’ve been poor all my life and am the exact opposite of tribalistic. I do everything I can to stay away from people. I’m not exactly mentally sound either, which is why I’m poor… I don’t go around making death threats. If someones gonna to act this way their going to do it rather they are poor or not. It’s a character flaw, not a class thing.

this is true, but if they’re already not well, the poorer they get, the worse that illness will get. the only way this wouldnt be true is if their mental illness was caused by their food intake or an expensive drug habit.
now i’m not saying that everyone who criticizes movies/voice actors is mentally ill, but death threats - thats totally different. death threats means the person is at the very least, contemplating murder.
idk I just don’t buy it. As a poor person I have had more access to mental health help then some of my family members who are better off. I’d argue if your middle class your more likely to do it but that is still isn’t exactly a great way of looking at it. It sounds just like a bunch of false stigma around poor people. Heck…streamers make plenty bank and they are more prone to this behavior then any poor person I’ve ran into.
