Don't threaten voice actors

I guess, but it’s not like such a system couldn’t be created with some level of oversight. From actual mental health officials that would know the better action to take. I understand everyones mistrust of government bodies given the current state of things but it doesn’t have to be bad. It just has to be structured right.

There is more than just one person at play here. There were dozens of ppl telling her to kill herself. Someone even stated they hoped her parents got cancer and died - all from voicing a character…

Also noticed you completely ignored my question to you, which is fine. lol It’s hard to admit when you’ve made a mistake.

Take care, Rosenivy…cya next thread. I’m going to bed. lol

:sparkles:

i started typing an answer, saw rosenivy had responded, stopped to read her response, then got side tracked responding to her.

i read it but the issue is still the same. a grumpy person or persons, who are threatening people with bodily harm in real life, are not well. its just mental diseases are not well understood and thus are interpreted to be all manner of problems, that never address what the actual issue might be. anybody that would threaten to kill people like that, is not well. the criticism of the situation needs to be modified to account for that.

I hope the people responsible get the book thrown at them. Who in their right mind threatens a toddler? Sick…

Actors are paid to portray a character. They are NOT that character.

2020 is just getting worse and worse.

Human beings are awful. Anonymity makes us worse. Twitter is a terrible platform for managing behavior.

I feel bad for the VA, but people need to learn how to report threats. Trolls get away with this in part because we slack off.

I know who I blame for all the hate for 2020. There is a certain public figure that has been subtly and not very subtly saying things with the intent of dividing people and create a tense relation in the world in general. The more public people act like trolls the more socially acceptable being a troll becomes. So yeah. If you want to put a end to this, we first have to stop public officials from being internet trolls. The fish rots from the head.

I think current events and the realities of, well, reality have proven that police of any kind are exactly not what we need.

Police really are not the problem, the entire defund police thing is a dumb idea. It needs a restructure, not abolished. Unless you want a literal war zone to live in.

Every part of this post is wrong, and I’m not going to derail the thread to explain why.

twitter is just a cesspit of a platform anyway

Ok lets put it on topic while being on the same topic. Police are bad okay lets get rid of them. Now who does Laura call to report these death threats to? Who protects Laura now?

Nah it’s cool

I disagree. You can have an opinion all you want. When it’s threatening the lives of others and transgressing the boundaries of social acceptability, the person being targeted and threatened should have the ability to mute this garbage in addition to reporting the offender to law enforcement and the social media platform. Otherwise you’re just normalizing hate speech which is NOT protected under the constitution.

Hmm…totally uncalled for, while I understand the game sucks and deserves to be panned. Death threats is crossing the line. I hope someday there will be accountability in Internet.

Exactly. Meme the heck out of the writer. But don’t threaten them or the people that worked on it.

Thanks for giving them permission cause this was going to drive me nuts. I would really like to know how people think having no form of police would end in anything but a chaotic lawless state. I don’t know how anyone would get any sort of protection or ever feel safe without some form of police.

Although I do apologize for the offtopic bit. Didn’t mean to put it that direction when I said we needed some sort of police for the internet to help stop these kinds of attacks which have become way too common.

The funny thing is if Neil Druckmann was the one getting said death threats, he’d love the heck out of it. Guy’s ego is so big due to him being such an attention hog.

I mean ya’ll can talk about it just don’t be jerks to each other. Mods don’t like that.

Ugh he’s PROUD people are miserable playing their game.

Misery needs to have a point. Not “Duhhhhhh revenge bad we took 7 years to say dat”

Sadly, people get death threats all time time. If it’s serious you contact the police. Playing the victim card is all about silencing any criticism.
