Can you see the irony in telling someone else off for trying to make you play the game their way(which they’re actually not doing you’ll have plenty of time to run phase 1 content after other stuff is release so you aren’t missing out on anything) while telling them to play the game your way?
Thousands of guilds have already killed Ragnaros.
Thousands.
I can’t rush to 60, I have too much alts!!!
This. Is. Classic. It literally is 2004 again.
It literally isn’t 2004 again, rofl.
This. Is. Classic. It literally is 2004 again.
No Classic is not Vanilla, the talents are different than launch, the items are different than launch, the mobs are different than launch. They are all from a much later parts of Vanilla. So why should we expect Vanilla content patch speed if nothing else is like launch?
Oh, “phases”, don’t rush classic phases!
I didn’t read the entire post.
Thousands of guilds have already killed Ragnaros.
Thousands.
And?
How many of those players have more than 1-3 epics each?
Clearing content != ready for the next set of content.
How many players had MC epics when BWL was released in Vanilla? I would bet you there’s far, FAR more epics in the game per capita than there was in Vanilla, when BWL released.
The numbers Wowhead posted show that there are “many” people ready for phase 2.
I don’t know what you mean by using quotes but pushing phases kind of feels like premature ejaculation sex, an impulse control problem. Retail chases after the zoomers, that’s completely out of place here. Hell, guilds are still forming left and right, tons of people are actively leveling. And those that are at 60 are making tons of alts, trying things out.
Give people a minute
Can all you lowbies that aren’t even going to get to 60 stop replying to me? I’ve already got TC to agree he was wrong and others.
Phase 2 is just WPVP and world bosses. You’re not missing anything. You’re being dramatic. Dire Maul is already out. The content will still be there IF you even get to 60, which after two months, I highly doubt.
And these are the things that led to Retail WoW in more ways than one.
3 months to 60 is hardly ‘rushing’
So 3 months per phase?
You want classic to last 18 months?
Then what?
How many players had MC epics when BWL was released in Vanilla? I would bet you there’s far, FAR more epics in the game per capita than there was in Vanilla, when BWL released.
It depended on the server.
On the first server I was on, people were in full MC gear by the time BWL dropped.
Then Vael murdered a bunch of guilds.
Phase 2 before year-end is fine, as it doesn’t really add a whole lot to the game. Phase 3, on other hand, needs to wait for a few months (4-6 after months Phase 2 ideally). They need to learn from the timing mistakes of Vanilla and give people a lot of time to farm through raids (get gear, etc.) and get everyone ready for BWL.
it makes for a better game if you keep people together a bit,
I’m having a ball running around with the alts of raiders who are adding life to the midlevel of the game, they get to try out different stuff to and explore and develop chars, professions too. new guilds are still freshly forming, “old” guilds are adding 2nd and 3rd raid groups. This is still a period of active development of the population.
The second they release new stuff the zoomers rush in and the playerbase is again freshly separated separated, that cross-pollination between different groups of players slows to a crawl.
There’s no worlds-first-thing going on here, there aren’t even cheevos. What’s the rush?
It’s not about rushing. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. The content you’re making a big deal about is just world PVP rewards and world bosses.
You all are mistaken thinking it’s some whole raid tier.
BWL released 2.5 months after the world first Ragnaros kill in Vanilla. Do you think there were thousands of guilds that had a Ragnaros kill by then in Vanilla?
There are so many more epics in the system than there were when BWL released in Vanilla. Do you think raids were doing 3 splits in Onyxia back in early 2005?
Come on dude, think a bit.
I honestly think the majority of people want BG’s at least And an even bigger majority doesnt want to deal with what phase 2 is going to bring. I love this game. But with out BGs im about to just cancle my sub till phase 3 lol after i get my wintersaber mount on my paladin
News flash
Most classic players played vanilla back in the old days. We’ve already been through this. We’re not interested in doing for the 2nd time - grinding Timbermaw rep to exalted, professions in some cases, BSing around, moving through dungeons at a snail’s pace, etc.
on your server, alot of the horde on mine are in the 50-60 zone, others are either slow levelers or re-rolls/alts.
