We’ll see little troll, we’ll see.
What? That they’ve already rolled out Diremaul?
Glad you agree we’ve seen blizzard thinks we’re ready for more content.
could be right, could be wrong
BWL was a shock to people generally at the time
“Retail sucks!”
“Plox Clizz time gate content, ppl not rdy”
90%+ of the resources of this game went into creating the world and shaping the leveling experience, and it’s done really, really well. I’d put Classic up against the Witcher 3 and the like as a stand alone RPG. Raiding has its own virtues, including comradery and team play, but why should everyone have to rush through the leveling content and get it overwith asap just to get to the part of the game where you sit around in cities waiting for raid night because there’s no reason to go out into this beautiful world anymore except to catch a flight to BRM. Why would we want to rush to join the unhappy, whiny people who have already run out of things to do?
There is no reason to rush people. Especially since the go go go crowd can never be satisfied. A few weeks after BWL releases, they will all be on here crying for AQ. A few months between phases is not too much to ask, IMO. They can level alts when they run out of content.
This is why time gating is stupid. The only people against it are slow levelers and for some reason nochangers who hate retail but want time gated stuff which is retail.
If people go through the content and quit, what loss is it when this was all just a nostalgia game? Honestly these people just sound like they want to slow everyone down so they can be carried through the content because without the “rushers”, they’ll never see the inside of Naxx, ZG etc.
It doesn’t effect you. At all. People play at their own pace, if everything was released and they leave how does it have an impact on you? Why are you trying to force the game to slow to a grinding halt based on your own perception?
What if all these people want to do is raid? What about it? Why deny them what they want?
I personally like the schedule they have put together. It’s part of the appeal of the game that not everything will be released at once - just like how the experience was in vanilla for those of us who played from release. Patches took time. You looked forward to them. You got ready for changes which honestly were usually for the better.
I am a big fan of the no rushing of phases thing.
Guess what happened in vanilla? People were farming content and trying to find stuff to do. That’s why these changes were implemented in the first place. I actually really enjoy that there is a wait on this stuff and it recreates that feeling of hype for the next phase/patch.
There’s zero point to this and no, it’s not like Vanilla where patches and changes happened because we already know what’s supposed to happen. The patch is 1.12, so all 1.12 stuff should be out.
This is like taking a syndicated show, then releasing it as if it were new for some weird nostalgia trip for the people that watched the show in the heyday. It makes no sense, it’s past all that. Release all the content, those that want to do it can, those that don’t, won’t. It’s that simple.

If you want a game where casuals can catch up and everything is fair and equal, go play BfA.
Well, I was wrong. That is literally 2000+ worldwide.
Well, most Chinese guilds don’t use warcraftlogs and there’s plenty of guilds in NA/EU that aren’t logging or not making their logs public as well.
The number is probably closer to 3000 guilds and however many tradechat pugs, which is probably a lot. By the time BWL releases, there’s going to be like 4000 guilds logged with a Rag kill. When BWL released in Vanilla, there was probably less than 300 guilds with a Ragnaros kill.
(World first Rag kill was 2.5 months before BWL).
You’re wrong. This is not a single player game. Guilds typically have a broad spectrum of players. Some have 60+ hours per week to play. Some only have 20. Some love leveling and want take their time, do quests, and enjoy it in the short time it lasts. Some don’t like leveling or quests and just speed grind to get it overwith. I think there are both types in a typical guild and everything in between, and some of the different types are friends going as far back to vanilla.
Spacing out the phases forces the go go go types with tons of free time to wait for the others to catch up. Otherwise the two types would not be able to play this game together and guilds of long time friends would get torn apart.
Phasing is good for guilds and good for the community. It keeps people together by preventing them from getting too spread out along the progression curve.
Check out my post as well. Glad to hear that other people agree. Just because the try hards are bored doesn’t mean everyone else is.
Anyone serious about endgame will already have it on farm. Right now we have like 3 different raid groups on Horde-side Westfall that can do it and there are probably assorted PUG’s outside of that. And Westfall isn’t an Abnormal Server so we’re Alli-heavy, so i’m sure there is far more than that on Alliance-side.
Anyone serious about PVP should want it in the game sooner rather than later. Currently there is no PVP in the game, and it would really help if it were added. Currently there are only gankers and the ganked on Abnormal Servers depending on the faction imbalance of the particular server.
Current endgame is on farm… has been since week 2. You know more content is coming right?
We have 3 raid groups in guild that clear each week… doesn’t take away the amount of consumes that will be needed for aq40, naxx, and organized pvp groups.
Yeah this argument really proves itself by the way dire maul killed the game…oh wait.
Everyone’s still running all the same content just more? Who woulda thought.
Dire Maul is not next level progression content. BWL is. Big difference.
The polls really weren’t that far off:
candidate | 538 prediction | actual result | difference |
---|---|---|---|
clinton | 48.5% | 48.2% | – 0.3% |
trump | 44.9% | 46.1% | + 1.2% |
johnson | 5.0% | 3.3% | – 1.7% |
All of these predictions are well within normal tolerances. The difference was what happened with the electoral college, which national polls can’t predict.
However, you could argue that a wowhead poll is going to be biased towards people who are more dedicated to the game.
