Don't listen to the anti LFR people. They just want to control who raids

Wow, elitist much?

Every subscribed customer deserves to see the raid, regardless of if they can perform the mechanics or not. That’s what the subscription covers, that’s what is paid for.

no they don’t

they can see it on youtube if they suck that hard they can’t get a group together with in the 4 month time frame

Then be ungrateful. Unfortunately for you, reality is reality and raiding would’ve ended without LFR. So you owe LFR heroes everything… it must be painful huh?

It does not. Subscription cost covers access to the wow servers. Nothing more. Entitlement says they deserve to see the raid.

His toon is from Classic?

Classic doesn’t have LFR.

And for all those watching at home note the language being used here

people keep saying “see the raid” and not “do the raid” and LFR is the only mode in which you “see” the raid and normal and above would be referred to as “doing” the raid

Lol I was just thinking the same thing.

Doing lfr does not mean you know how the boss mechanics work. Many times you just smash your keyboard and win. So a lfr raider going from lfr to normal pug would be a burden

That’s… amazingly stupid. If someone can’t perform the mechanics, they still deserve to see the raid; they just won’t get very far.

If someone is subscribed and meet the level/gear requirements, they deserve the ability to enter LFR, Normal, Heroic, even Mythic raids. That’s what the subscription covers. Their ability to perform the mechanics dictates how far they get in the raid, not whether they can see it or not.

I can only speak for myself, but I don’t even bother joining raiding guilds or doing normal anymore because really, what’s the point? Why bother? I just do LFR 1-3 times to get my free epics and check out the design & artwork, then wait for the next raid. Has anyone else who previously enjoyed raiding done the same or stopped playing altogether? I don’t know.

The devs data might not be as reliable as they think.

If I didn’t do LFR then I wouldn’t raid at all. I’d like to raid and have it feel rewarding and meaningful, but raiding feels pointless so LFR is really the only thing worth doing.

Good point.

The thought isn’t necessarily whether it should be removed entirely, but whether it should still be the main focus of the game. I’m not a big raider, I play for fun and don’t need another job so I can’t meet the time and schedule requirements. But since I do pay a sub I should get some say on how the development $$ are spent. As long as there is an easy, somewhat rewarding way for me to see the content I’m ok with the devs spending resources on it. If not, I’ll be forced to advocate against it OR just take my money elsewhere. So far blizz agrees with keeping me. I’m all for keeping player choices, not removing them. 99% of the people who just raid LFR are NEVER going to raid Normal+ if LFR goes away, they are just going to either complain about the “wasted” resources until blizz cuts back on raid development, or quit. Wildstar tried things the “raid or die” way, I don’t want that to happen to WoW.

everything you just said then was amazingly stupid including the part where you said what I said was amazingly stupid

I honestly don’t understand why anyone cares about LFR-Don’t do it if you don’t care for it. Some people like it, for some it is all they can do due to time, skill or whatever reason.
I fail to see how it affects anyone but the player joining the LFR. I don’t do LFR because Id rather get stabbed in the eye, so I stay away from it. Pretty easy to do so.

You realize that Normal and Heroic raids are made for cross server groups right? It actually doesn’t matter if the servers are dead or not, you can get AOTC if you’re the only player on your server.

Like I said I don’t disagree with LFR existing.

But those statement are a bit overeaching.

Blizz doesn’t agree with “you”
You agree with Blizz.

Nor do you have a say in how they develop their game
You can provide feedback that’s pretty much it, like everyone else.
And they can consider it.

Gatekeeping to me = I have to convince another human being of my worthiness to join their group or raid. That’s fine when I put my mind to it I can get into a group. ( pop in a breath mint and turn on the charm)

But on some days I have neither the time or energy to pander myself to some stranger. I’ve literally have been doing it all day long at work. That is when it’s nice to say “hey automated computer pal sneak me into a group when you can, I’ll be doing world quests while I wait” yes I know it won’t be a high quality group but at some points I don’t care I just wanna play and see stuff. Why in the world do you gotta go and take my magic group finding computer pal away?

It’s not the anti lfr people alone turning every thread about lfr into a 500 post monster.

People are so quick to bite the bait.

because “seeing” isn’t god damn well “playing”

You shouldn’t be getting to “see” it, it’s not a sight seeing tour, it’s saving the damn world from some stupid threat.

The shallowness of this is beyond anything I can imagine

Why should they have made a raid mode for people that didn’t want to do that raid they just wanted to see it.
They should have just made you a spectator mode so you can watch people do the raid and you could cheer at them

Their sub grants access to the servers. Do you think your sub entitles you to the best gear just for creating a character?

“My pet peeve is the cause of all the issues with this game” fallacy.

Cataclysm was drastically on the decline long before LFR was put in, it was put in at the end of Cataclysm, and actually saw the sub count stabilize and even rise afterwards.

LFR is fine. It’s just people who want raiding to be exclusive content only the highest tier of players should ever be allowed to see, who don’t like it. :woman_shrugging:
