Don't listen to the anti LFR people. They just want to control who raids

I have played this game since 2004, Ive met with toxic elitist players and very nice players. Many changes have came over the years and LFR was one of the best.

The people who are anti LFR are just people who want to control who raids and who doesn’t. These toxic players have been around for a long time and try to blacklist and villainize even nice people from servers for making simple mistakes in raids.

Since LFR was released, most of these highly toxic players are gone. The few who remain are begging for it to be removed.

Even if blizzard removed it, they would have to stop making raid content since 90% of the servers are ghost towns, my old sever emerald dream is 50/50 alliance horde ratio, is the 14th most popular server and non-peak times there was only 62 alliance players at their level cap after looking at /who with all classes.

Blizzard has no choice, but to keep LFR and that’s a good thing for keeping out toxic players.

That is quite obvious.

LFR is a collection of the finest people tasked to finish content.
No elitists yelling GD Leeroy

Yea LFR is the bastion of the best players both skill wise and attitudes.

You will encounter toxic players no matter what game, but it far less toxic than what it was before. The feeling of being blacklisted for no reason other than some angry player thinks your unworthy is far worse than the occasional jerk found in LFR.

100% was always about control all these years now well said!

So tell me. Why should players who can’t perform mechanics properly deserve to see a raid?

Any person who doesn’t like others being given choices is not worthy to listen to.

The fact that those very threads get 100+ replies shows the state of the problem.

I’m not anti LFR (I hate it - for me - but I don’t care if it’s there for anyone else), but this is 100% not a true statement.

People who dislike LFR do so for reasons that have nothing to do with whether or not you raid.

Blacklisting for no rasin is just what good guilds do!

There are plenty of legitimate problems with LFR. to say people dislike it because they care about your loot is to grossly overestimate how much I care about you or your gear.
I dislike it because of its impact on the game as a whole

While I disagree with removing LFR, that’s a slippery slope argument. They already design mythic raiding for a minority and it takes way more time to design it than LFR. It’s not because something is done by a minority that Blizzard should remove it.

I also don’t see the correlation between LFR keeping out toxic players? You can also get toxic players in LFR, it’s not like it will stop them if they want to be toxic. And blacklisting and wanting an efficient group is not being toxic, that’s what you do when you want to progress at a decent speed. Is someone not hiring you toxic if you don’t have the experience?

The same logic is being applied to deterministic systems (Titanforging being the only one unless JP/VP indirectly returns in the PTR) in 8.3, if my fears were correct.

It doesn’t hurt you, why force extremes?

I liked OP’s post, though.

Because it’s a game. You know, something to have fun with?

Especially because they use raids for major storytelling now.

Please explain to me how it hurts you. There is absolutely no requirement to step foot into LFR if you don’t want to. There’s harder settings for guilds.

This is win-win, and at this point i assume those who argue against are trolls

Because they paid for it. It’s absurd to expect 1-3% of the subscribers to only see work they put that much time and money into.

You get your shiny higher item level, cosmetic rewards, titles, etc. Your epeen will survive other people enjoying their toys. It does not affect or detract from your own.

Let’s ask ourselves these questions…

  1. Is LFR a place for tanks, healers and dps to learn boss fights or to just view content?

  2. Is normal the place to start honing skills for future tanks and healers for content? Who will be patient enough for that learning curve?

  3. Finding a good guild to assist you with all of the above? Would this be harder to do?

The problem with LFG/LFR is that it encourages toxic players; there’s no community blacklists or consequences for their nasty behaviour so they can get away with it.

Simple solution, just give us ‘Hardcore-PvP’ servers which disables LFG/LFR and other so-called “improvements”, along with xfers and namechanges.

If you’re right, then those servers will become a toxic cesspool and reduce the amount of nasty players on your server. If I’m right, a chunk of non-toxic players will take to playing on those ‘hardcore’ servers; where retail will regain a sense of community and thus make it more enjoyable for those of us who prefer classic.

  1. View content, mainly. Most mechanics can be basically ignored.
  2. Maybe. If you have a guild, that is. I doubt a PUG would have that kind of patience.
3.Yes, finding a good guild can be hard. I’d raid, but finding a guild that does so during the weekdays is basically impossible. So I stick to running the odd low key Mythic+

So… classic. You’re talking about classic.

Well we found out why OP likes LFR. He plays poorly so nobody wants him in even Normal. Just the sad truth.
