So your “covers the wow servers” argument is pretty dumb. I bet you believe that Blizzard doesn’t pay anyone and that servers are millions of dollars a month to operate?
I know that’s not what you really believe, but our subscription goes to pay for the servers and ALL the other expenses that Blizzard/WoW has for developing the game.
How do you think the next raid tier is being paid for? We are paying for everything with our subscription and other transactions and then the remainder is profit. Blizzard isn’t getting money for free from someone/thing…

With lfg making your own raid group takes 5 mins and then you give assist to the tanks and just let them do everything.
What happens when you have 7+ people in a guild come to your run on alts, ninja the loot, or straight up sabotage a run with intentional incompetence; or otherwise threaten people that “if you raid with this person, you will be cut off.” Nope. Leftovers Raiding came into being for a reason. As a direct result of the unscrupulous actions of mega guilds.

What are you going on about? Paying your sub grants you (the player) ability to log into the wow servers and play. It does not entitle you to anything else.
Wait so you made a group, then invited people you knew were trouble, and gave them access to distribute loot? I feel like you are to blame in this scenario.

LFR is such a isolated portion of the game, it has its place and there is a portion of the player base who likes it.
I’m a heroic raider and a keystone master, I understand time commitment but not to the level of Mythic raiders. My wife is due in 6 months and I understand that a raiding schedule for me might not be possible fora while. Or it may be, this is the first one.
Once I am feeding the kid every few hours I might do a key or a LFR to see the story in my free time. There is such a wide range of players at different stages in their life’s, it’s nice that there is a option for those people who don’t have time.
I think it’s the titan forging that adds to the anti LFR crowd. Imagine inspecting someone and seeing a Mythic Ilevel weapon that came from LFR. That’s wrong. Eliminating any type of randomized ilevel bumps will help to alleviate the LFR argument.
LFR is a hilarious dumpster fire of mediocrity.
I’m well aware. Tried to keep it simple enough for gd forum posters like yourself to follow. My last paragraph is dead on , you’re just left of the bell curve.
Firstly congratulations on the baby I hope he/she is born happy and healthy.
The good news is with lfg there are heroic pugs going pretty much 24/7 do you can still get your heroic raid on if you want to
That is an insult to some dumpster fires.

Blizz said lfr makes designing raids worth it to them. Getting rid of lfr (it drops very low ilvl gear anyway) would cause raids to become much less frequent.
Amazing. I must know where you found this alternate universe technology. Clearly you went to another reality, where such a thing befell me instead of friends of mine! Lacking a true counter, you now are trying to turn the issue into being about me. Friends of mine had to deal with it, and if I didn’t think it would violate the Forum rules, I’d name a few Vanilla guilds that did this.
Not only that I distinctly recall on the Silver Hand Server where one person from a Mega Guild tried to crash the server to ensure they were the only one with the Black Scarab Mount. Later we found out the GM was coordinating the effort for the sake of guild notoriety.

They said this like 8 years ago before the lfg tool existed which has totally changed the game
Norm palace of aza run. 470+ aotc req bads will be kicked
It’s not even that honestly. I don’t think the average LFR player is bad, they just don’t care. Blizzard has cuddled them in to this safe space where it’s ok to not try because they will still succeed and still get loot no matter what. If someone can give 100% or 0% effort and get the same reward either way, which do you think they are going to pick?

But with no easier level and no titan forging those groups would never fill since the demand would be for people newer to raiding. When a group doesn’t fill it lowers it’s requirements until enough people join
It’s not lfr hurting the raiding number because if I actually took this expansion seriously all I would do is mythic plus keys and never raid again. Why you ask? it’s easier to get gear, only need 4 other people plus a free weekly chest,no real tier gear exclusive to raiding and I don’t have to deal with 9 other people’s schedule to finally raid, however, some classes excel better in mythic pluses.
Are you suggesting that mindless grinds and content didn’t exist before LFR?
They were a cornerstone of MMORPGs before LFR came out. You’re blaming LFR for a problem that existed before it did.

Flex raiding kind of solves the problem that lfr was created to address without diverging so much from the social foundations of MMOs. The developer in charge when LFR was created said as much. I’m not going to cry if LFR remains, but at the same time I don’t feel it is needed anymore if the goal is to allow most players to see the content.
ive only ever had one single bad experience with LFR and it was one single player causing the issue.
LFR is just fine. People who complain about it are generally pretty vague about the complaints that never seem to line up with the facts and often have a very long LFR history themselves.
