I wanted WoW2 moved from Bnet2 to Bnet1.
They did that pretty quickly.
And in the process lost mounts, mogs, etc, but mostly from WoW1…which I had indicated was the one I DIDNT want to lose from.
My goat mounts were gotten on Bnet1, WoW1…lost
My Pandaren Kite…gotten on the same…lost
Uh, go look at “combine blizzard accounts” support article 2627.
Literally says “Combine Blizzard accounts”
“How to consolidate multiple Blizzard accounts into a single account”
[quote=“Rhielle-sentinels, post:121, topic:192088”]
So there’s no merger. It’s moving a WoW account from one Bnet account to another
Which is exactly what I’m saying is wrong.
People are arguing that nothing’s wrong, so your response to me is completely unwarranted.
Blizzard claims they’ll combine accounts, It’s stated on their own site. They messed up and a bunch of stuff is missing, they need to fix it by reversing it since they apparently never told OP that none of the transmogs, etc. would transfer over, even though they say they can’t do reversals.
I don’t think i will ever try this lol if it ever comes down to it - i’ll just create a new account and give myself gold for gametime if i ever end up doing that…after reading this thread
The fact that a person did it for you. Not a program (which is really strange) most of us have two accounts, merged into one, not combined… what this person did was physically combine thus, losing most of your stuff as they went off the history of a new account.
I do know they have backups from people who “accidentally” delete their characters, gold, items, etc; but when it comes to accounts/combining and not merging (clearly the rep misunderstood.) This is irreversible and from what I understood, cannot get these back.
One cannot feel the pain (and hope one never does) when it comes to this.
Well, If you were on the phone with them while doing the process, Why didn’t you bring it up to them about Mounts, Pets, etc? I mean personally I would of def mentioned that sometime during the call. Esp. Titles/Mounts
If this was the case, I would blame Blizz tbh and tell them they did not tell you on the phone, however it is written in facts posted above what will/will not move over
I wasn’t arguing that nothing was wrong. I was clarifying where it says in the main article that it can’t be merged. And I specifically said that it didn’t make sense in Taienna’s case. So I’m not sure why you’re all bent out of shape.
As for combining accounts, yes, that is what happens. A bunch of WoW accounts are combined under one Bnet account. Is it poor wording? It is when it’s not even the main article and that small article you listed doesn’t even mention the correct details or link to the main article. Why there’s even multiple articles about it is beyond me.
We don’t know what clarification was or wasn’t given on the phone with the OP, so I can’t even comment on that. We do know that Taienna got screwed based on how things were moved.
Thats what the second call was about.
I saw all the missing stuff, called back and talked to a nice lady rep who was polite…agreed that stuff was missing that shouldnt have been missing…but said there wasnt anything that she could do. Whats done is done.
Im really irritated about it more because I didnt move the WoW account for any good reason. I just wanted a single login instead of two.
Someone misinformed me when i got the second account and said I couldnt dual box with two WoW’s under a single Btag.
That was a falsehood because I was just doing it a couple hours ago.
That was the only reason I had a second WoW under a second Btag to begin with.
I had them move the second WoW to the older Btag because after BFA dropped the performance was so crappy trying to dual box on one machine that I just stopped bothering.
Figured Id just have one login and play one account at a time…if i even kept them both open.
Turned out that you can dual box with two WoWs on one Btag account. just open one up, then the other. log in and your good.
Id call it more of a massive waste of my time
I didnt need to have them make the move really at all…and had they uttered a single breath that even on thing on my older account might be lost Id never have done it.
Thank goodness the one bow mog I REALLY didnt want to lose is actually available on both WoW accounts now.
Id just warn anyone considering moving a WoW from one Btag to another to not do it If they have stuff they dont want to risk losing.
Exactly!
WoW1 shouldnt have lost anything…or not much…but it was actually the one that suffered the losses from what ive been able to tell…and a monk that was on WoW1 ended up on WoW2…
If they’re using the term to describe the process, then yes, they’re using it, at the very least, imprecisely. I can’t find anywhere they’ve used the word merge in this context, though. Would you mind giving me a link to where you are seeing it?
When you combine two bowls of water, you aren’t somehow mashing two bowls together to make a single bowl to hold all the water. You’re just combining the contents of those two bowls.
The same applies to combing the contents of two Battle.net accounts. You are moving the contents of one into the other.
Not sure about anyone else here, but ANYTHING at all that affects any of my characters… I read, re-read, re-read again just to make sure there are ZERO surprises. Anything that can be interpreted more than one way gets questioned. I refuse to do anything with something that is that important to me without knowing the fine details before I even ask. It’s always a good idea to do your own research. Don’t get burned.
