Don't get screwed by account merger and consolidation

sounds like pebcak here, you didn’t read up on how it works before you did

I am confused. Is the DH also the OP?

Hate it for you op. I have another account also. Heck didn’t even know there was a option to consolidate accounts. Could not imagine losing mounts, toys, titles,or heirlooms that I have acquired over the years. Just use it mostly to box characters, if I ever decide to level a new one. It mostly stays dormant, and has not been active in a long time. But thanks for posting, because I would definitely not do it after reading this. Good luck, and hope you are able to get things worked out.

No…just know where he’s coming from.
They lost crap from BOTH of my accounts when they were MIGRATED into ONE account.
A poster or two here just cant accept the fact that it happens and it IS stuff NOT mentioned on his joke list there.

AND it was stuff lost from the account that was NOT being moved…but on my main account that the other was being moved TO.

There is no merge. They only move licenses, both battle.net accounts still exist, separately.

dont do it. Ever.
Just have two separate accounts.
Any slight benefit from one bnet account isnt worth losing the long list of stuff you’ll lose…which is random pets, mounts, mogs, etc.
They even moved one of my monks from the WoW account it WAS on to the other in the transfer.
That was nowhere on the list of ‘possible deletions’ that has been posted by some here.

semantics…
Accounts were merged into ONE. End of story.
They NEVER corrected my language in the phone call, friend. So how about you stop doing it.

You’re literally arguing over semantics.

Blizzard themselves literally calls it combining Blizzard accounts “How to consolidate multiple Blizzard accounts into a single account”

You’re wrong.

Blizzard needs to re-word it to what they’re actually doing instead of peddling this false promise of combining 2 accounts into 1 and have red caution tape all over warning that there’s essentially no point to do it because you’ll just lose stuff.

Wow… this was horrible to read. I’m so sorry for this. I’ve had crappy experiences too with blizzard employees. I hope they read this and they give you your stuff back. I can’t imagine how you must feel right now.

The issue that people are having is that it doesnt make sense as to why that would happen, unless there is some reason one license would override the other which would result in stuff being lost.

EXACTLY!
When i was on the phone with them I told them I wanted to combine my accounts. BOTH parties used the word ‘merge’ and ‘migrate’ multiple times during the call.
God I hate people who just argue semantics crap just to have something to argue.

About? Nothing I’ve said in this thread is incorrect. Feel free to ask Blizzard CS if you’d like clarification.

If there’s no merge, Blizzard should stop using the word, then. They should also not use the word combine, because it implies that both accounts are turning into one…like they state it does…but it doesn’t.

The issue theyre having is that they werent there so they dont want to accept reality and facts.
One poster keeps rambling on about what cant be transferred. But Ive said a couple times now that things were lost on the MAIN account that WASNT being moved. Just petty little mounts for one…mounts that if they were going to be lost in a transfer than EVERY OTHER mount that required some rep grind SHOULD have been lost as well…yet it was just a few random mounts.

Again…the rep AGREED that there was a problem. I hope everyone is LISTENING TO THIS FACT…but said they COULDNT replace the stuff that was lost.

But Blizzard doesn’t offer a service that makes 2 battle.net accounts into 1. That’s not something that they do.

So we’re left with the same issue of 2 battle.net accounts with their own account bound items.

They were NOT migrated into a single account. I get that’s what you wanted, but that’s not what they did. The items from your original account are still there. And if you don’t think they are, then you need to Open a Ticket.

They really weren’t though. What you call “semantics”, are super important here. The details are very important.

sorry but you just dont know how to pay attention OR admit your error

Just an FYI this is a quote from Blizzard support.

“Combine Blizzard accounts”

“How to consolidate multiple Blizzard accounts into a single account”

You’re wrong, they’re saying they’ll do one thing and actually doing something else.

They should re-word it to what it actually is “We’ll do something pointless and delete a bunch of your stuff and pretend they’re combined into one”

You made a bad deal.

I wouldn’t have risked it but that’s me.
