3 weeks is extremely generous for that lol. I’m 195 after a week on my lock, but I have access to rbgs with other high exp friends. Given the best possible scenario, 2 weeks and you can be caught up.
You need to stop doing drugs bud, the current gearing system is trash, pvp in general right now is trash, this is the worst expac of all time dont even compare it to Bfa and Wod.
people that dislikes wod’s pvp system just dont know nothing about, and go critic, or they are that type baddies that likes to think they are good in PvP because got more ilvl.
Or they actually played in WoD, and saw the rapid decline in PvP participation. Do you want PvP to be the next archaeology? Because that’s how you get that to happen.
This isn’t true, and you were told so by many people in the other thread. Stop.
And yet, it was. Segmenting PvP and pve gear introduced a negative incentive for pve players to participate. Guess which population is significantly larger than the other, take a good long hard look at the changes they’ve made over the years, and try to claim it’s the pvp only crowd.
They deleted PvP servers to satisfy pve, they deleted wod gearing to do the same. Just like templates crashed and burned, because the game’s core demographic wants gear that they obtained to matter.
No, it wasn’t. You keep repeating it, but it will NEVER be true. You don’t have to like the system. That’s your opinion. I think it’s a misguided and ignorant opinion, but you’re allowed to have it. But I draw the line at allowing people to repeat lies. That’s what you’re doing. STOP.
You should probably stop personally attacking me.
It has actually, in WoD.
I’m not personally attacking you. I’m saying that what you’re posting is NOT TRUE. And I don’t have to like your opinion. Get over it.
It’s not an opinion, I played in WoD, I saw first hand the impact it had. You’ve still not presented any good solid reason that WoD gearing was removed. What’s your thesis for that? They just randomly decided to go from a system where pve players were being stomped out in their normally relaxing battlegrounds by full glad players, to a system that just happened to be templates, which would prevent that?
Say stupid things, win stupid prizes.
Your opinion on the system is an OPINION. What you’re saying in terms of participation is OBJECTIVE. And you’re wrong. I also played in WOD, but that is irrelevant in terms of numbers. Hate the WOD system all you want. Stop spreading lies.
Yeah, I played WoD too. Nonstop queueing BGs on fully geared alts of my choosing.
If you think WoD was unpopular because of PvP gear being balanced then I have a bridge to sell you.
I never claimed that was why WoD was disliked.
My claim is that the WoD gearing system made it exceptionally difficult for pve players to participate in PvP. So they didn’t. Someone that put in effort to hit say 226 ilvl, isn’t going to put up with their gear being down leveled in PvP.
So participation from people that used to do both forms of content, tanks. Leaving only hardcore PvP only players. Which not surprisingly, is a tiny minority of the player base, albeit a very vocal one.
All of the people complaining a out getting bullied by higher ilvl players in PvP, are in for a hilarious ride if Blizzard revives warlords PvP gearing.
It’s not difficult though? Getting full honor gear in WoD took half the time as it does currently, maybe less.
You see PvP participation high now (although dropping fast) because PvP gear is so good and easy to obtain that PvE players who don’t even like to PvP are doing it. Also shadowlands recorded huge sales numbers so obviously everything’s going to seem more active for a bit here.
Anecdotally, I’ve been seeing people quit left and right. The PvP situation is a big part of it, although not the only part, and needs fixing.
i keep seeing this parroted, this is anecdotal without anything to credit this claim.
they will put up with it if they want to pvp in gear acquired in pve, the same that pvp players will put up with it in pve when their gear loses upscaling out of pvp.
the difference in honor gear to conq wasnt very extreme either, it was felt but not extreme, and over the timeline of acquisition it took about a week per piece (some pieces a bit over a week, some a bit under) but you could feel your character getting stronger and still remained competitive whilst doing so.
it was a good set up for gear, balance issues on classes were sketchy but the gearing was great.
wish there was more on this other than a small, “we’re looking into it” mention in a german interview
