I used a healer as an example it will be the dps on these forums in here crying just like in retail about how they are tired of waiting for hours to find groups for dungeons. And how blizzard should give them welfare gear to compensate for that time.
Again, what is the difference between a boosted character and one of the 60s already waiting for TBC? How is that different than now?
You are literally creating a slippery slope scenario. It’s a fallacy.
One is there because they played the game… the other is there bc they swiped there credit card…
Do you think if I paid twice the amount I could get two boosts instead?
do you think that has anything to do at all with what you’re saying bothers you? as if people didn’t buy tons of gold from gold sellers and boost straight to max level and then use even MORE illegal gold to buy BiS raid gear from gkdp runs? you’d realize those people wouldn’t be wasting time in ramps thought right? whatever the highest tier of raid gear was is what they’d spend their gold on. you’re mad that someone paid irl money to be able to do ramps with you. that’s why you’re upset.
What does it matter when everyone is there to play TBC? What difference does it make in the end if you force a new player to start from 1 and take longer to play with their friends?
And let’s be real, we’re all here because we paid. Whether gold, or money for the sub.
I’m not upset I was just debating on what was said and answered with my opinions. Like you know when 2 sides debate a topic like you know seeing both sides.
Why aren’t the “friends” saying yo let’s reroll with Fred and help him get to 60 before launch… i mean if they really wanted to play with there friends… I know me and my friends would do that for each other. Maybe we are wierd I don’t know
my friend from wow invited me to play FF with her. she had all her jobs at max level. she gave me a million gil to buy a house or something but never played once with me and talked about how once i reach x level then y will unlock and we’ll be able to do z together. i stopped playing cuz i was essentially playing alone. she’s still a good friend of mine to this day. doesn’t change the fact that no one wants to waste time releveling if they don’t have to.
Because said friends want to play TBC? They could help him if it’s pre-patch and they want to level a BE/Draenei, but there’s also the potential that they just can’t do the grind with their real life schedule.
The boost is an option. It’s not going to destroy the game.
I agree it won’t, but I see both sides and acknowledge that both sides have valid points… but it’s getting weird that all the loudest voices for the boost are dps warriors rogues and mages… I get it you want to boost for the new meta of locks and hunters.
It seemed like the RAF bonus would have been a nice compromise since leveling time is already almost cut in half with reduced exp requirements and quest bonuses. There would be an incentive to level new characters with friends as well as the fact that RAF existed in tbc. I can see why this option wasn’t chosen though because people would just use it on two of their own accounts in an exploitative manner.
It still sucks to print characters out of thin air though like you’re printing currency, which is exactly what blizzard will be doing for players and themselves.
check out the hearthstone forums sometime. people compare a ccg to a AAA title and think that paying x amount of money should give you access to every single card. you explain mtg/pokemon/any other ccg and how hearthstone is significantly cheaper than they are, they start down the road of fallacies. at this point… i am mad at blizz too. i could make swipe after swipe. but they make their games they way they do to make money. the fact they rereleased the abomination of wrath naxx should’ve been an indicator that they want to manipulate people through nostalgia. even the tbc dungeons that dropped recolors of vanilla tier gear proved it. essentially since tbc the game has been retail. just not as retail as it ended up being, later. the only version of wow that was NOT retail’d was vanilla. not classic’s “recreation” but actual vanilla. classic was a pay to play private server. lol
Can’t wait to use the boost. It’s so convenient.
The biggest problem is that the botters get what they want.
Well lets make a post asking blizzard to address bots. Thats their department. Not the players who should pay for blizzards shortcomings
I rather boost. I’m not gonna suffer through vanilla just for TBC when I don’t have to.
Which of the hundreds of posts would you like the necro?
Any one of them will do the same I suppose. Blizzard doesnt care about bots and we all know this. All the more reason “but the bots” is a garbage argument
By standing in the entrance of a dungeon while some mage gets me free xp? No thanks.
