This might be an unfortunate consequence of the “no changes” tenant of Classic.
Looking through Activision’s press releases, it looks like stakeholders and executives may view Classic as a low-cost, high ROI success in both acting as a funnel to their Retail flagship and regaining churned customers. I doubt they’ll pour more investment into here unless they realize they are leaving revenue / growth on the table.

Win-Trader is actually disrupting the game. That is not the case.
I’m strictly talking if you go afk during the BG.
Imagine being banned because you had to poop during AV.
This is ridiculous.

AFKers are disrupting the game too and making it worse. I described it in detail to you in another thread.
Not to mention the AFK groups that were telling others to AFK or they would report the actual players, it really makes you realize how few ethics these people actually have.

Ok, when the next person that went to poop during AV is banned and posts here in the forums I’ll believe it.
What happens if people in BG report you: you get a flag for being lazy. If you get in combat, you lose the flag.
Basically, for someone who is actually playing the BG, being reported is not.
And again, all hearsay.
We AV connoisseurs do not allow bowel movements…
Drek or kek, constipation required.

This would effectively be like banning them. The AFKers are just there to farm honor for gear. If you take that away, they’ll still stop queueing.
depends on how bad they want the gear. alot of them would probably not queue anymore, but even if 10% of them keep queueing, that still means better queue times.
These bans are ridiculous tons of people being banned
Better than just banning everybody? Sure. Better than what you have now? Probably not.
That’s not what anybody is talking about (a quick one off bio). I also explained WHY AFKing is disruptive.
I didn’t respond to have some argument with you because you are one of the people who is sticking your head in the sand. You can believe what you want. I know personally two people who have had this happen, as in good friends. No hearsay. Do whatever you want.
The reporting is for cheating (non-participation), not AFK which gives the flags.
In my entire life, I never refused to poop.
yes you do you get banned for afking. my friend was just afking bgs and periodically pressing space bar. he got banned stop making up lies

There are people who refuse to believe something because they dont want to believe it. So.they will do mental gymnastics to explain it away. It’s really common and happens everywhere in life. A few of the people in this thread are just an example of that.
Real talk though, what’s the actual problem here that people are upset about? Just that you didn’t have fun in a game of AB or WSG? Just go with it and requeue, it’s five minutes out of your day. Or are you upset that some people are getting 6-8 marks per hour losing BGs while you’re trying as hard as you can just to get 4 in an hour? In that case, it seems like there’s an easy solution. You can join a losing premade yourself for an easy 8 marks per hour, or go buy a couple hundred faps and join a winning premade for 20+ marks per hour.
I’ll explain my stance. I can’t speak for others.
I saw the difference firsthand in the quality of BGs between when Classic BGs started (quite a bit of AFKing and botting) to later on (very little of it). The changes happened over time. Any time a suspension wave would go out the quality of the BG would get better. I did a lot of BGs and I saw it all. The BGs were quite good for a while at the end.
One BG was never the point. Two weeks of pre-patch was never the point. I don’t care how many marks other people get. Having a low-quality BG experience throughout the entirety of TBC was the point.
The second problem was hearing about people who got into these throwmades as pugs who would have threats to get reported if THEY actually PVPed instead of AFKing too. This shows to me that these people lack moral character traits and they deserve any punishment they get. By doing this these groups directly harmed those who wanted to play. If that ever happened to me it would be screenshots and off to email Blizzard reporting that way.
That’s why I both told people to report and reported myself and will continue to.

Should be noted that the other people you accused of lying about their ‘botting’ have just been unbanned.

Probably not! I certainly didn’t know that lossmade 5-mans during original TBC were cheating then. If I received an 8 day ban for doing it though, I would know!
I mean, as in life with laws, generally they are only enforced when there is awareness that they are being violated, i.e. through reports.
If people (particularly not full-premades) are forcing losses in BGs, then those who are queuing into them with them as teammates are likely reporting them.
You can argue “Blizzard should…” whatever, but ultimately, if people get temporary bans for non-participation in BGs, it’s incredibly obvious who is to blame.
I mean, Alliance simply don’t queue up when they realize how many are AFK farming. I quit PvP over this, it’s so boring when no one wants to try and win. PvP gear is the worse thing that’s ever happened to the game.
But if you only want to play against AFKers for your pretty PvP rewards then you’re just as bad as the AFKers imo.
Give Phase 1 locked Classic Era servers please (or phase 0, whichever had no pvp rewards).

This whole PvP spectacle has been all fake news and moved goal posts. The mod’s and blizz simply don’t care. I’ll die defending that statement now; Want to relive tbc prepatch? Give us your soul and invest at least 100 hours grinding Bg’s just to pop your head above water.
Be a man like everybody else and take it. Brave new world.

False flag is cause for ban.
