You can argue that it’s a lore issue, but I don’t see anyone arguing that point at all. It’s mostly about racial advantages.

Yea, arena’s were always faction agnostic.
No one still has a good answer to how to do that. Specially since it’s mostly a pvp problem.
All available data points to a decent faction balance overall.

Making alliance more competitive in pvp with stronger racials so that pvpers will actually consider rolling it rather than automatically choosing horde

Battlegrounds are specifically designed around the rivalry between factions.
WSG is designed around the conflict between Durotar and the Warsong clan vs Ashenvale and the Silverwing Sentinels…
AB is designed around the faction rivalry between the defilers and the league of arathor.
You get the idea… these battlegrounds were specifically designed with RP and faction rivalry in mind, arenas were not. Next question?

Equilibrium is a bias that achieves nothing meaningful. The fact is players who play horde have a greater desire to pvp than alliance players.

Arenas are a mistake. Should have been RBGs or RRBGs. Horde just wanted to do BGs on their off time because that’s where most of the PvP community is.

People are too busy with the horde vs alliance fighting. I’ve seen a few threads talking about lore etc and I agreed.
I didn’t like same factions in arenas either and therefore never really got into them. I did however make a World PVP guild in WotLK for a reason.
I feel this is an MMO RPG and horde vs alliance is important. it’s one of the best things about Vanilla and why that version was my favorite. Everything has shifted in WoW away from the core of what it was since.
I am very tempted to only play my alliance in BGs after this as I want to play horde vs alliance but I play the game for friends so I’ll keep going to gear my horde in addition to my alliance.
My opinion is fairly unpopular and therefore I rarely share it but this is how I feel.
