TBF even blizzard admitted in that in some cases gameplay should take precedence over lore and faction pride

There’s a huge problem with splitting the player base like that, hence why many newer mmo’s don’t have a faction system beyond some fluff.
We’re seeing that problem now in both retail and classic. Some things just really don’t work well in an MMO

What about Alliance aiding Thrall in CoT: OH? or Medivh in BM?
It’s still something that has me scratching my head.
We didn’t all roll horde for “racials” because they are good, did you forget perception exists? or the fact that dwarf priests are very strong?
This was probably my core point in the OG thread. The addition to this is essentially making factions irrelevant. Arena was more gladitor themed of testing your strength while BGs were RP flavored to entice the faction war/rivalry.
Some folks wanted factions to matter again, unfortunately the majority apparently doesn’t and wanted retail factions.
This is more to stop the infinite dragonflight from distorting the timeline and potentially shifting the timescape to something completely different.
The time to maintain balance was lost in like P2.5 of Classic.
Blizzard has a “let’s pretend this problem doesn’t exist until corporate tells us to fix it” mentality these days.
I have exactly zero interest in those boring games and therefore I don’t play them. I love the faction rivalry of Warcraft.
I got Classic and binged the hell of it, and I found it amazing. Honestly if I never play another MMO after this I’m good. Speaking again from my own opinion that I rarely share.
Why did all the pvpers roll horde then, sparkie?
If you say they didn’t, why are your BG queues so high? And why are most pvp servers horde dominated?

But you also ignored how dwarf priests are better and how any rogue mirror with a human rogue gives alliance a MASSIVE advantage in arena
Because with this, you are basically forced to play Horde if you want to PvP.
Most pvpers roll horde, as evidenced by BG queues and faction balance on pvp servers.
Why is that?

They are not going to make people switch to alliance
Racials have very little to do with it.
The PvP community is small and tight knit.
All of the private server and Retail gladiators went horde.
It only makes sense for the few that went alliance for queues to reroll horde so they have access to a better player pool to make teams with.
At the top end, racials matter - when everyone is skill capped, horde just have better overall synergy. If you take arena seriously, you don’t turn down those kinds of advantages.

The thing is here buddy, that 0.2% where it actually matters you will never get to so it doesn’t matter

There are more horde queuing for BGs than alliance hence the BG queues? Yes/No
There are more pvpers on the Horde side than Alliance? Yes/No
