Iirc from wrath, you get bags, basic gear and about 1k gold. Not sure how much has changed for Cata. Maybe more gold?
You get gear, bags and that is it.
Professions are left where they are (if you had any).
There is no gold included.
You do get mount and I think basic flying or at least basic riding.

No one is forcing you to use it.
create one from scratch and start leveling. You have time.

Ah ok - maybe they give you a bit. Never really paid much attention.
I boosted 1 toon in TBC and 1 in WoTLK but never looked to see if they got gold as well.
Doesn’t change the fact it’s a joke for the cost.

A later expac boost did level professions. But…it’s also a later wow where you didn’t really need to level old stuff anyway. Wanted legion crafting? Go get it. No need for prior caps.
Basically. We may get to when not needed beyond making mogs lol.

If they did that they should make the gold the median amount of each lvl 80 on the server

When not on 80s. I’ll just slow brew a be Paladin. Since I kind of have to be there to mine anyway.
The be Paladin would be the 2nd one. I have the 80 space goat already.
Boosties to fix that….well you get the benefit of old world faster to hit nodes faster. You’d still be running loops in say tanaris or crater on the 80 lol.
And this does not change the fact you are not required to buy it.
That is how it works. People buy things they either want or get value from. Sounds like you don’t fall into either of those categories.
You get something to wear… I wouldn’t call it gear.

It would be nice if the service was creating a new 80 toon with you picking profs to boost to like 200. Just a thought, I would be more tempted and I bet a lot of people closer to buying one than me would be convinced with that. Idk I’m buzzed
old boosts from retail were max level or level 60 with maxed professions. I think that was in mop or wod though. So you sacrfiice level for professions. I think now its just boosted level nothing else
