Does the 80 boost also boost professions?

This might be what you meant, but just to clarify since it’s worded weirdly. You still got max level, but you had to be level 60 before using the boost to get maxed professions.

The way it was worded sounded like it left you at 60 with maxed professions.

It did bet over over that trash they gave for tbcc boost.

Even level 52 greens in say crater were way better lol.

Am I miss remembering or did the original boost back in MoP or WoD boost professions if you learned them before using it?

In WoD. They used to boost proffs. Only your main two. Some versions give you the most crappy green gear you could possibly imagine. Then enough people complained so they released another version where you got put in full epics. Blizz called it “raid ready epics”…but you couldn’t even down an LFR with that stuff on. I think now currently for DF if you boost, you get full epics and lots of other stuff. All your gear is auto unequipped and mailed to you in the bank.

Cooking and fishing first aid when it was still in, never got boosted too if i remember right.

Boost a hunter, you auto get a free pet too. For retail stuff Im talking, For current Classic boosts it might work the same way.

That was in Pandaria, and you did still need to level the old versions all the way up to the current expansion then

no i mean you only got a boost to level 60 but you got maxed professions instead.

You get 100 gold, cold weather flying, old world flight license, four 18 slot bags, and your professions are reverted to 0/0 and locked, unable to be used.

I wish I was kidding, but I am not. You currently lose access to your professions. It’s an issue that has been reported, but it’s been a week and they have yet to even officially acknowledge that this is happening.

No where did I say it was good gear
You can’t sell it but for 1c and you can’t DE it either.
It is meant to get you started only and to throw away as you level.

Then what I’m hearing is, it is not the service you can use or want, thereby don’t use it.

Well this is why I clarified. Because you’re wrong.

The original boost ALWAYS put you at lvl 90 no matter what. But if you did it while you were 1-59 then you wouldn’t get professions. But if you leveled to 60+ first then it would put you at 90 with maxed professions.

That would be a handy compromise. Though it really depends on your server prices.
The gathering professions are especially a chore to level up but if you have young alts to funnel the ‘trash’ to, its a waste of time+
I guess crafting changed enough (MoP?) that it is a non issue moving fwd shrug

It boosts them to 0/0 and makes them unusable.

It’s still doing that?

I was going to use a boost tonight.

What if you boost a char who doesn’t have professions yet?

You’re already skipping the entire level time of 1 - 80. You can also buy gold to quickly pound through a profession. Only the gathering ones actually expect you to go out into the field to do something.

Not only does it not boost them…it busts your current professions so you can’t work on them.

My character doesn’t have any professions right now.

I don’t think it will do anything then?

You’d have to try, idk. Only character I boosted has professions and now they are unusable.

It also gives you the gold cap worth of gold when you log in. If you didn’t get your gold in the mail then write a ticket to Blizz. A lot of people have had their gold bug out and they had to get it later from a level 1 orc with no clothes.

Do you get regular flying or artisan flying?
