Balance is often the death of fun. One of the biggest lessons learned from Retail.
Yeah iām not after full blown balance and i dont think anyone else is, just enough like TBC that allows people to play other specs outside of fury warrior and rogue/mage to dps.
Thatās what Iām saying. Make talent choices more viable. Oh no, a class is going to be more powerful in pvp! Who cares? Pvp is a chaotic mess anyway.
Thatās kind of why I like it lol.
Yup, itās so much fun. Itās moreā¦warlike. Real battles are just chaos.
Let me put it like this: Iāve been playing a lot of Warmane lately, and Wrath pvp is just not enjoyable at all. This is what happens when they balance everything around smallscale arena matches. Mass homogenization means every class has a slow, stuns everywhere, silences everywhere, etc. You pretty much are never in control of your character.
Classic pvp is a million times better. Sure, you can get blown up just as fast. But so whatā¦itās just simpler design. And at this point in my life simple appeals to me.
I agree, retail pvp isnt as fun, the last time I had fun in pvp was at the end of BfA and that was so minimal compared to the amount of Bg and WPvP fun i had in classic
yeah just destroy pvp so i can raid in my meme spec, bro
Absolute power play. Respect.
You donāt PvP anyway, you donāt even play the game haha. If you did you would understand that PvP is not balanced in any way and thatās part of the charm of classic. Buffing the memes might make some classes overpowered but thereās already super OP specs and classes anyway. So another of your points that makes no sense because you donāt actually know how classic plays because you didnt play it.
I donāt want a bunch of overpowered meme specs in PvP, thanks.
But you donāt PvP or pve so how would you know what effect this will have on the game? There is already massively over powered and underpowered specs in BGās, if you actually played the game you would know that.
thatās not license to just mess it up further, sorry.
some of us want to play something that resembles the WoW of 15 years ago. I donāt want to see 10+ boomkins in BGs because thatās the new meta.
And whatās the difference if X class was overpowered and now Y class is? Again, I donāt really know why Iām arguing with you seeing as you didnāt play the game, and will probably quit after a month if you decide to play fresh anyway.
What you want shouldnāt really be an issue, you didnāt play first time around and youāll likely not play again, so maybe keep your ideas to yourself and let actual classic players put in their 2 cents rather than just trolling on the forums.
I didnāt play vanilla classic due to time constraints. Not sure why you keep bringing that up. It adds nothing to your āargumentā.
So whatās changed? If youāre so busy you wonāt be able to play SoM either. So keep your lack of knowledge about the game to yourself.
Youāre not really adding anything either your entire argument is āI dont want thisā because āmuh classicā in your own argument āDonāt like it? Go back to classicā
Listen, I was as #nochanges as anyone and wish Blizz had been even more authentic with Classic (especially TBC, where the changes ruined the game). Butā¦those Classic eternal servers still exist. If you want the closest to authentic experience as possible, you can always play there.
I donāt see a problem with Blizz now making some changes to a fresh server type. Of course those changes should be consistent with the philosophies and design intent of Vanilla and so farā¦they arenāt. Specifically speeding up the journey and rushing out the content. That is opposite approach Blizz should have taken. But still, making certain talent choices more viable (or at least playable) isnāt necessarily a bad thing.
I donāt see it happening though since it seems quite obvious Activision isnāt interested in putting any kind of real development time or resources into Classic. Maybe some more cash shop stuff though, because milking the playerbase never goes out of style. But actually trying to āimproveā the experience? Not worth their time.
that sounds like a lie. lol Every ret paladin Iāve ever met went above and beyond as raid member since they knew they were being carried even if they did 700 dps with world buffs. (since a warrior in that slot would have done 1200dsp)
I donāt want a bunch of overpowered meme specs in PvP, thanks
Iām going to allow it.

now Iām not as busy, obviously. my job is different now, so yes, Iām looking forward to SoM. thanks for your concern.
