Well, it used to have physical packaging. Now it doesn’t. The game, is theirs. We are paying to rent it.
Collectors edition, and you can still buy boxes so I’m not sure what you mean? You even get a physical key code for the product, not that it ‘matters’.

And all that physical stuff means zippidy doo dah if you do not pay a sub to access their content and rent your space.
I’m sure there was (i actually thought the same when i first heard about this incident)… someone said something like they did some update or conversion and didn’t realize someone Nevada wasn’t compatible.
Which as someone in IT o can tell you that’s not a totally normal impossible thing to happen I’ve seen a customer data base at a bank get borked for similar. But it’s very very rare these days if your IT department follows best practices.
But sadly what’s done is done people can cry be mad hate all they want it won’t magic their data back.

What kind of example is this? It doesn’t even work considering we’re moving more and more towards a cashless society and for many people most transactions are just zeros and ones moving back and forth online
Considering her job title that you listed, no she is not directly managing the individuals working with the database.
That is my point? It actually works quite well, at one point they could decide it isn’t yours any more and you have no power against that. You don’t technically own it.

The number doesn’t matter. One person, a million people, it still shouldn’t have happened.
On the contrary, there is one thing someone can do. They can cancel their subscription and leave the game and never come back. And yes, we have no idea how many people did that because, well, Blizzard wouldn’t tell us, would they. But I suspect it is a number greater than 1.

We should have a game. We would post ten statements. Then others would have to decide which ones were from a forum poster, or an 8-year-old child.
Would be nice if most of them exercised this right.
Them no having backups was why “Classic,” is a far cry from being “Vanilla;” Blizz had to go out to a pay for server and ask for help.
I find it appalling they had no backups… I would of fired people.

Not saying it’s a good thing, but what else can be done? If they could fix it, they would have, no one would want this PR nightmare.
