If i could have it my way i would attend raids whenever i can or feel like. Not use consumes or world buffs. Getting world buffs is too time consuming to me. But what i see now is that world buffs are requiered. Along with consumes and a gear and log check and what not. I was raiding and doing gdkp on era for like 2 years before anniversary dropped and i was left with a bitter feeling about min maxing and being hardcore. I know people want it to be smooth and easy but i dont mind if things get a little wonky. You know that phrase people will forget what you do and what you say but they will never forget how you made them feel. And honestly all that raiding with yelling, taking away cuts and punishment made me feel bad. And im literally inbetween quitting or just doing casual stuff without raids. But what i will never go back to is rostering, sitting on the edge of your seat for an invite, using every consume and buff possible etc… i Guess if i keep on playing this game i will do so in my own style and terms.
I gotta join a ZG PUG for the quest item leather belt. Gonna be my Feral BIS until TBCC.
Most casual guilds I see are expecting basic consumes(not flasks) and the easy wbuffs like dragonslayer buff and dm n. Those take about 20 minutes total so theres really not a time investment.
so you want lfr
I would love it honestly. Along with rdf. They already made so many changes so why not
Classic Era pugging does this…
You can get away with this in Molten Core and BWL to some degree… in AQ you’re gonna need a few consumables, in Naxx you need consumes for certain bosses also.
yes casual raiding exist but do not expect fully or fast raid clears with them
there is demand for LFR… which is why Retail solved yet another problem.
Just join a casual guild like mine. At TAUREN SUPREMACIST, we aren’t sweaty min-maxers, just an all-Tauren guild having fun.
I just threw up in my mouth a little.
Sounds like you’d be better off playing LFR in retail.
I was gonna say… what about your lack of fear ward??? But I forgot that’s a dwarf only thing
It doesn’t, the community in anniversary is super sweaty try hard. Akin to 40 year old men reliving their high school football days. You’d have better luck playing era for a more original experience. Also, if you join any guild they are mostly LC and anyone who isn’t besties with the guild leadership is pretty disposable because that’s just how people are in this game now.
Cows just wanna have fuuuuun.
Luckily, many of our cows will have Tremor Totem.
it is a well-done guild…
I think strangely enough that the Raiding scene on Hardcore would suit you, yes, you’d need a WB now and then, but there’ll be summonses and portales, and we talk it over. Yes, yo’ll need a potion or two … and a Petri flask But hand in mats, get a drink and you’re set to go. Noone looks at GS or iLevels, only at your willingnes to go a bit slower than normal, make careful pulls, mind your pet!, do not stand in the fire … all this.
Maybe the Raid scedule would not always suit you, but it is HC, there’s always a next time, we always need new cannon fodder
PS: It’s not casual in the sense that you can meet up drunk, totally unprepared, undergeared, or in underpants only as a tank, or go goof around, but … laid back serious would describe it, I think
Spoken like a true Tauren.
Yep! Come check us out on Grobbulus (Era). Here’s a link to Jarl’s latest recruitment thread.
Definitely a different vibe playing on a server that has less than 100 active raiders on both factions, but one that I’ve found to be much preferred to the mega-cluster format that Blizzard seems to be pushing these days.
You will have to reroll unfortunately, but there’s lots of people who can help you out when you need it. Most folks play on Alliance side but Horde has been starting to gain more traction lately. Feel free to explore both (you can use HC servers to get a character on both factions).
It’s not for everybody, but feel free to come check us out. Either way, best of luck to you
