Does anyone else have multiple of the same class? why

2 warriors but only cause dif servers

yes for mount farming.

2 Hunters, both Allaince both on different realms, only reason was because I wanted to level an Allied Race.

I have like 5 warriors, 2 mages, 2 monks, 2 hunters, 2 rogues, 2 DKs at max level, with several character duplicates above 50. Mostly I level up a bunch of characters because I enjoyed low level PVP more than max level PVP in this expansion. I also like to ‘collect’ characters. I only play on RP servers so sometimes I will RP with them, but honestly for the most part I don’t. I just dress them up like dollies and look at them, sometimes use them to farm transmog lockouts.

I intend to have 1 of each race. I’m missing orc, dwarf, draenei, and troll.

Only 1 for each class, since there is no need for anymore than 1 (at least not at max level). Only exception to this however is I have 2 Monks. 1 at max level, and 1 as a level 10 Twink for low level dungeon runs as a Brewmaster.

For the longest time, I generally had one of each on my two accounts so I could do various things. I had a few extras of some classes. Then I decided to get the Stay Classy guild achievement…

Me, for the same reasons as listed throughout the thread

Having multiple hpals lets me gear them with different stat priorities and talent builds from the getgo and lets me have each pally at different rating brackets to play different things

Battlegrounds aren’t cross faction yet so by default i need minimum two just to be able to play with half my friends list

I have priests and mages.

As others have said, to experience both factions’ side of the story and to keep gear and mogging clean by have separate characters for each class specialization rather than carrying two sets of armor and weapons.

That and as my enjoyment of leveling exceeds my skill as a player, I’m finding myself leveling high survivability classes more and more which leads to duplicates. That means more head canon and unique mogs. I’m happy.

I’ve got two warriors right now and it’s driving me crazy, because I love both but don’t really want to gear both. I wish I could just switch back and forth at will without spending $30! It’s all the same reasons stated in here… different mogs, lore, feel.

It’d be easier if I wanted one to be for each spec, but I kinda want to do both prot and fury/arms on each.

I have Four Warriors all for the sake of farming Garrosh Hellscream and his elusive shoulders.

I have this with DKs and Paladins. Different perma sets I like to wear per spec. I won’t gear them or care about running them through content. Just for the aesthetics and feel.

3 Warriors at max. All different specs and Races.

Because some classes require completely different stats when you switch to a different spec. It’s easier to gear the second toon with its own gear rather than waste all your precious time-gated high end resources trying to double gear one toon to a higher gear level.

Because an Orc doesn’t look the same as a Goblin.

I have several of every plate class, because they’re my Garrosh Hellscream shoulder-squad. An army bread for a single purpose. Their sad little lives end once the shoulders finally drop.

It’s like some kind of dystopian sci-fi where clones learn that they’re raised for their organs or something, and the lottery winners every week really don’t move to Aruba.

I still have 2 level 70’s of every class I main. Used to be because I wanted to be able to heal for btags in PVP. Since deciding to become a primarily PVE only player this season think I might just play one toon total from now on, though. (Plus once solo queue rated BGs goes live in the next season or two that’ll give me something to keep myself busy with once I’m min/max’d out in M+/raid–diminishing the desire to maintain alts anyway, for me at least)

Over the course of me playing wow, something like 15-16 years or something, I have made 3 priests I think. When o first started I was an alliance human I think. Then friends joined and they wanted to play horde so I shelved my human and made a blood elf priest.

Then I took a break had a million and a half babies.

Came back and made another alliance priest on another server and have been playing her since BFA.

Technically I never played more than one at a time. I didn’t start making alts until a couple of years ago. They really are alts though, priest will probably always be my one and only main.

I have 14 level cap druids. No reason I just really like druids. :dracthyr_nod:

The only repeat class I currently have is paladin. I have a Zandalari pally because I really loved the Zandalar Storyline, while my Man’ari pally exists because I find it funny.
