I appear to have the opposite problem as you OP: The people I group with feel they are perfectly at liberty of using the other people in the group as human toilet paper with zero repercussions.

Players have one set of rules - the Code of Conduct. Blizzard has another. They have their own internal policies for employee conduct. I have yet to see someone in CS violate that. People might not like the response, and it might even be a bit sassy, but they do not break their terms of employment or staff policies.
I feel like this is a new alt account of someone else…

Only reports I make in game are for the racist, bigoted crap, anything obviously breaking the law, and if its spamming carries over and over just to bump everyone else who might be posting something.
I ignore everything else for the most part

Actually, if you read the rules it doesn’t refer to players. It refers to anyone posting here or playing the game.

Just report it. Blizz takes stuff like that in particular very seriously. Them getting a healthy vacation from the game is much better revenge than risking your own account on some rage venting.

I know, but that’s exactly what’s wrong with report system. I miss the times when you could simply ignore trolls and enjoy old school banter.

MAn that was a hysterical place. Free speech was abundant. A bit too nuts some times. lol. The death threats Id get were over the top, but I dont think anyone was actually serious about it.
probably a bit much…Id like something not quite that insane but not stifling either.
“trolling” joke being removed as a violation would be a great start given it isnt actually a thing…EVERYTHING is ‘trolling’ to someone. It reallly stifles speech.

No one is flagging anyone as alts or sockpupptes in here. Stating a fact isn’t flagging someone for it. Notice that comment was in reference to moderation. There is no moderation for unflagged posts. That exact argument was brought up before and in that exact manner, by that exact person, as I have already made sure of it.
The conversation is being derailed by you and no one else.
You really don’t have a leg to stand on here after what you pulled and how you got called on it. Especially given how many alts you’ve posted on.

Its a character flaw.
Not sure if parents did a bad job or if they just got the demon seed.
Ive seen kids raised by fantastic parents who turned out just plain evil.
One friend was raised by drug addict parents in a totally chaotic home and somehow this guy turned out to be a perfect man, husband and father.
Got to be something in some human beings that overrides the environmental programming.

I havent gotten any in game in all this time, thankfully, not even a bogus one.
But reading so many say they have and seeing the insanity in game at times leaves me just unwilling to risk it either.
Too much time investment to let some disgruntled sort and his guildies cost me the irritation of a silence if they start flag bombing you in game.
I dont talk, literally nothing to report, real or imagined.

That’s probably because their rules are clear and it’s not open to interpretation whether they violated them or not. I’m pretty sure being sassy is against the Code of Conduct for players. In fact, I’m sure it is - if enough people report it.
Nah, I’ve had sass reported and the flag removed by moderation before.
Just don’t cross the line into abusive language and you’re fine.
