Ogres and probably one of the longest standing race requests. I believe they were requested since classic. Some of them are technically apart of the horde and I have heard on multiple occassions devs express interest in having them. I even heard we were supposed to get ogres instead of goblins in cata(happy we got goblins), but I do think ogres should be added someday.

I doubt it. There’s little actual lore behind them and their size may cause camera issues at close quarters, especially in groups.

What about worgen? No they aren’t on the level of night elves, or humans, but they do have a lot of people who love playing them.
The amount of work it would take to fit existing armors skins for ogres, snakes, fish, and monkey people would be an insane undertaking. Just think about how horrible a helm on a wargen is the multiply it every time.
So no they never will. They couldn’t even add customizations for half the races on live.
Maybe someday.
Where would they even work? They don’t fit on the Alliance. We really don’t have any connection to them. And the Elf side? They’re way too busy replacing all the other races with Elves to do that. So there’s really no where else to add them as an option!

I think they could be. Blizz has said before they’re open to the idea. It’s just a matter of finding the free time and resources to do such a large project and a lore opportunity to fit them into the story as a priority over other race options. For a long time now they’ve had neither. But you never know, it could happen someday.

Doubtful. But you know that as soon as they were created, people would be asking for skinny Ogres.
Also, what would a female Ogre look like? We have so many to choose from in the game.

Yet something like Void Elves are playable. Ogres have been part of the horde since the beginning. For the new horde (Thralls horde onwards) you got the ogres in Dustwallow that were once led by Rexxar. So that little, “little actual lore behind them” is purely false.
Can always downplay the size and make them the same height as say Kul Tirans.

They’re as likely as High Elves.
% chance to become dazed upon any action. While dazed, both ogre heads will argue with each other about who the smart one is.
I think the Ogres would be a wonderful addition to the game.

If Blizzard added them to the game I would give up Alliance if they were added for horde, except for my human paladin. I would race change all my other classes to ogres. Ogres have great personalities!

They are long, long, long overdue, and there’s really no reason not to have them now that the Horde brought remnants of the Gorian empire with the Mag’har.
The fact that we’ve gone this long without getting any races with a “lovable dumb muscle” personality (ie, Kronk, Knuckles, Heavy Weapons Guy) is baffling.
