Do you think that Ogres will ever be added to the game?

The poor multi billion dollar company surely cannot afford this undertaking.

Aren’t gnomes one the least played races? And yet
 mecha gnomes.

Think of all the resources and development time being wasted on choreghast instead of meaningful long lasting stuff like races or class design

A horrible investment on their part really. They even gave mechagnomes the strongest racial setup in the game
but no one wants to play them.

Although there aren’t a lot of statistics available nowadays
I would be willing to bet cute races (vulpera), Elves, and Humans are still the most popular races.

Mechagnomes and ogres dont fall in any of those categories

Not really. The reality is that we were only ever going to get some kind of gnome for the gnome AR. People who expected otherwise were setting themselves up for disappointment. Plus blizzard shouldn’t just cater to only popular requests. That said. I think it would have been better to pair them with gilgoblins instead.

They are in 8th place. This screenshot was taken about a month before the wowcensus went down and vulpera and they had remained in that position for about 4 months prior so its probably safe to say that is where they will remain.

An easy idea would for the the ogre clans (Stonemaul, Dunemaul, and AU Stonemaul) within the Horde to unite under Rexxar. Not only can this be done at anytime, Blizzard would have a more recognizable character in place over creating a new one. Furthermore if Blizzard decides to extra lazy when coming a name for the united ogres, they could be all “Rexxar brought the ogres into the Mok’nathal.”

Alternatively if we ever seriously return to Outland, the Ogri’la, could end joining the Horde.

Don’t listen to all those alliance jealous player. The only reason orgre aren’t playable is because of their size. Otherwise, there is no reason for them not being playable as they would 100% fit in the horde and is one of the most requested race.

Blizzard can easily have playable ogres be more Tauren-size over their larger counterparts.

Well sure. Being reasonable goes out the window when you can copy/paste an existing race and pass it off as new content with almost zero work on the development end.

People are forgetting though that they were to be a gnome AR. They make perfect sense as a gnome variant.

Check back in 2030
.

I think they will be added eventually. New races and classes are always a good draw to attract players to try things out. It’s a matter of when, not if IMO.

Maybe in the future, I hope so.
But blizz is really lazy with everything

They could but that would be so underwhelming to be honest. Part of why the orgre and vrykul are so cool is because of how big they are. I prefer to wait for a other solution than having a shrunk version of ogre.

Yup. I hate how player of other race hate on the allied race make for a race they don’t even play. Part of why i would prefer the gilgoblin as allied race for goblin. Vulpera could still be add later as just a random allied race but they don’t really bring nothing for a goblin lover.

P.S. And Mecha gnome are awesome. I don’t care what all the hater have to say about them. They bring a mechanic fantasy that wasn’t playable, are now my alliance main and seem to be like by the gnome playerbase.

Ogres could easily be reskinned Kul’Tirans I think.
The two-headed Ogres would likely be off the table, but they are almost always villains anyway.

One of the oldest allies of the Horde, and in WoW they have been there since Vanilla.

If they can pull Void Elves out of nowhere bringing a race with established lore and ties to the faction should be easy.

It didn’t save Taurens from the same fate.
They are supposed to be absolutely massive compared to the other races but got shrunk down to fit in doors and armor.

Not really, the average size for a tauren is about 10 feet like they are in game. Of course they can go to 12 feet but having them at 10feet isn’t that far from reality even more considering that 10feet is with their head being forward and not upright.

Ogre are suppose to be at a average of 13-14 feet with is way more than the maximum of 10 that they would be.

Once again disagree here. If we are to finally have the ogre, better be the real thing and not just a disappointing version of them that we could have years ago. After all those year, they better take the effort to make them correctly.

Think of all the resources and development time being wasted on dumb races like ogres instead of focusing on current expansion content.

Think of all the resource and development waist on dumb expansion content that people don’t like and won’t last after 2 years instead of something that people like and would play for the rest of wow

Not everyone like the same thing. If you don’t want any more race than don’t go in a thread asking of a race.

I hope not, it would be a waste of a playable race spot.
