I’m holding out hope that WoW branches “classic” into “classic+” and we get new stories with the superior game style.
Okay. So we do a handful of more runs in the new upper levels and then it’s done again.
Still not seeing the issue.
Some alternate timeline where Thrall never steps down as warchief?
I might actually play that.
I don’t see anything that needs to be fixed, but I do see them continuing to make a good game?
So you’re not wrong about a few more runs and it’s done. It does end at some point.
But that’s not a feature people want to engage with. Mage Tower was insanely hard when it first came out. People went in and tested themselves on it through the entire expansion. Right up into the last patch.
That’s the difference.
No, it will die the same long death Everquest is dying. You can tell when there’s no more passion in the game development. Of course, there will always be the WoW evangelists on these forums proclaiming it’s still alive and kicking, those same people exist on the Daybreakgames forums for Everquest, those people will be buried with a copy of WoW. With some strong games on the horizon like Ashes of Creation, Pantheon, and New World, as well as a current game Final Fantasy…the developers working on WoW can’t put out crap expansions like Shadowlands and expect to stay on top.
No LFD, no systems. No chorecraft. Just mountains of content, character builds, and, and epic villains.
When Mage Tower released, the forums erupted with screams of horror about how it was impossible for the casual player and only designed for “the 1%”.
Just like they did for Horrific Visions.
Just like they did for Challenge Mode.
Just like they did for The Maw & Torghast.
People didn’t “test themselves on it through the entire expansion”, they shed innumerable tears and Blizzard ignored them, knowing they would outgear it by the end of the expansion, which is what happened.
Here is the problem. What you call
They may see very different. The problem is you have your perspective and opinions from your friends and personal player base.
They have ALL the metrics.
This does not mean they interpret these metrics properly, but it is largely what I believe they base decisions on.
For example, the metric says X percent of all level capped toons do world quests. Obviously the players like them. Doesn’t make the interpretation right or wrong.
I think they TRY to fix things. I think Ion answers to a boss that makes decisions he may personally not like, but has to follow. I think he does the same to his team. But they want to have the best MMO out there at all times. That I firmly believe.
This doesn’t matter though. As much as they complained about it the day came it was doable.
They still played the game.
I don’t know what you mean here. Why would they come to the forum and complain about how hard it was if they didn’t try it?
I don’t see them taking the steps necessary to bring the game back to it’s roots and appease the players before it’s too late and most of them leave forever, no.
I’m pretty confident they’ll double, triple and quadruple-down on the shallow grind until the bitter end.
Parents like Evil Dead?
Are you kidding? Because people love to complain, that’s why.
Just look at all the Alliance players who don’t even raid, but complain incessantly about there being more Horde raiders than Alliance.
People just like hearing themselves complain because it makes them think other people are listening to them and that they’re important.
I don’t agree with you here.
I mean I complained a lot about warfronts but I was doing them. That’s the only way I could know if it was worth complaining about.
People complain about things being hard like Mage Tower but they go again. It’s not like mythic raiding where you mess up and everyone hates you. People spent time building out an ideal character, talents and strategies for months. That’s time invested in the game.
Something they hate doing they invest no time in at all. Like you said in and out. If Torghast as a feature took up months of dev time that’s a clear failure.
If the dev team do not change then they will continue to do what they are doing. Only those players that appreciate the current direction will stay
well its actually jus a nickame for ashlyn lolxd
I definitely have my own opinion that the content and systems implemented are utter dog . I think ion is a bit of a tard. But I hope they fix it.
Legion was actually bad until 7.2.5
They added pickpocketing quest for rogues
They added chrome scenario
Major overhauls around traits
They completed the class builds
Before then, you could hardly even respec. Because Mage Tower was such a good patch, and they let Argus geared players have the chance to unlock MT, it’s remembered as much better than it was.
Hardly anyone has fond memories of Suramar and the withered campaign.
It’s done man. They been neglecting it since WoD. Not one good release since WoD.
That explains so much.
