Do you see blizzard fixing wow?

I’m quite curious with what people think. Do you think blizzard is going to put in the effort to fix wow in its current state? Or do you think they will release crappy content for a couple more years and leave this game in the dust.

Depends what you think needs fixing.
Games are constantly being iterated on, fixing happening constantly…

But if I find something bad, is that an ultimate ‘‘THIS IS WRONG WITH THE GAME’’ OR is this something Blizz has to weigh with their own opinions and other view points to find a middle ground, or even something that is ignored for their own reason.

I think they are doing what they’ve always done for the most part.

Define ‘fix’ please. Thanks in advance.

By fix I mean the crap content, systems implemented and PvP.

WoW PvP has never been good in its entire history, so no

I think they’re doing a fine job. There’s stuff for everyone’s taste. I think my displeasure with SL is for personal reasons that have nothing to do with the developing process. I have my wishlist like everyone else, but because everything is not checked on that list doesn’t mean it’s bad. Just different.

Even if blizz wanted to fix WoW I’m not sure they still contain the talent to do so.

I see so many ridiculous design decisions in SL right now.

Feels like management has completely lost its ability to organize its development resources.

Working as intended.

If they do anything, it will be the equivalent of putting tape on a torn grape. You can still eat the grape if you want, but some people won’t.

Theres a better chance of something truly revolutionary overtaking the game, imo; like WoW did with the other MMOs of the time. Whether that’s VR, better bandwidth capability, better content, or something else remains to be seen. I expect WoW to go F2P long before that happens though.

I think they’re just confused. They kind of remember that things taking a while used to be fun, but forgot how to make those long lasting tasks fun. Like, why was the attunement process fun and not a tedious chore like collecting soul ash? They just don’t get it.

I’ve never been so ashamed of being named ash until this expansjon

And they’ll keep doing that to the end of times

What content have you enjoyed in the past that you would like to see more of? Or do you need more new directions?

What content do you feel you are required to do that you don’t enjoy?

What one system do you feel is causing you the most grief?

I’m not sure what question to ask about what your pain points in PvP are. Are you able to find matches? Is there a meta you don’t enjoy or feel locked put of? Is there too much or too little power progression gating participation at the level you want to play at? Is there some addon/bot creating problems?

Not if this guy is in charge of WoW.

  • Blizzard are part way through their double down phase, where they will ignore player feedback / feelings, and assume they know best.
  • Next phase is triple down. They will ignore player numbers and player feedback, and push ahead with unpopular and head scratching ideas / decisions
  • Last phase is the “look what we did”, where they will slightly undo some of the double/triple down phase decisions, and pretend that they have done the playerbase a huge favour and proudly declare “see, we do listen, and we make games for gamers!”

Somewhere between triple down and the backhanded compliment stage, they will announce a major expansion, and the majority of players will just weather the 9.x storm and hope that 10.x will be better … spoiler … it will be exactly the same.

So, in short, NO, they won’t be fixing wow.

It wouldn’t take much research to figure out what the common complaints in PvP are. They’ve been posted probably tens of thousands of times.

The problem is they think they are fixing it. Thats the problem here. Until the lawyer and a few devs are replaced nothing will improve…

Good question.

I think WoW has reached its zenith, and is on the downward slope. Every product has a life cycle, and WoW is no different.

I’m not in the “WoW is dead/dying” camp. It has proven to be a robust game, and there’s no reason why it can’t be revamped, and continue for many years to come.

Acti-Blizzard will take the game in whatever direction they choose, provided it meets their accounting criteria.

With regards to my personal criteria, if they churn out another expansion like what we are seeing now, WoW may end up being dead to me.
