Maybe not, but at least it might be currently relevant. If I end up getting into it, it might encourage me to start at the beginning and get over the hurdle of feeling like it’s pulpy.
I discovered I already owned Tides of War, Illidan and the one based on the Warcraft movie
Are all these really considered Canon? Are they internally consistent?
As I’ve not played the game from the beginning I’m not sure. I did like Tides of War ( not to be confused with Tides of Darkness,) the Shattering, and really all 3 of the War of the Ancients; they really helped explain much of the history I didn’t know. Night of the Dragon surprised me. And actually, Arthas Lich King was good.
i have my own youtube channel where i make playlists for each zone in an expansion with specific tracks that fits the atmosphere, architecture, or genuine vibe
I have a SiriusXM satellite radio account. I listen to NBC Sports Radio (Dan Patrick Show) when I am doing all my Daily Quests on 6 characters. Rest of the day I am listening to Contemporary Jazz.
If im doing something story related i’ll use regular music, if just playing and messing around i always have either music, twitch or a show in the backround. I like all different types of music so got a playlist for everymood
TBH lately I’ve been hitting up Russel Brower’s WoW music when I’m gaming.
The last two expac’s stuff is all right, but it doesn’t hold a candle to, like, BC, Wrath, or MoP’s music.
I know it’s a tired comparison, but I’ll actually play some FFXIV music when I play WoW too. Even if you hate the game, the music is pretty awesome for it. Nobuo Uematsu is a legend.
If I am doing stuff solo and just trying to have fun I tend to listen to music from Youtube. Some examples are “Where Red Paints the Ocean” By “Paddy and the Rats”, “Drunken Dwarves” by “Wind Rose”, “Dragon Age Inquisition Song” by “Miracleofsound”, and “Captain Morgan’s Revenge” by “Alestorm”.
Helps to keep me entertained at times, and even pump me up for the day and adventure.
I never listen to in game music
I rarely have in game sounds on and when I do I run a few addons to trim out the annoying stuff
Ambient is always off
Dialog is always off
If I’m doing something that doesn’t require my brain I may listen to outside music
More likely I’ll listen to a podcast on something though For this I like JoeRogan
If my brain is required then I just play in total silence
