That’s reserved for the VIP’s.
mmmm ya thats how you get crazy people doing evil things and calling it good
The fact that we’re humans with brains that developed cognition and empathy.
Even our families and friends might not understand our spiritual relationships. Faith is a deep and crazy thing that defies logic. It can do detrimental harm, it’s a recipe for many things if you feed into emotions and don’t discern it correctly. Which is why I’m a run of the mill Catholic who studies all religions, rather than utterly devout entirely manically chaining to my birth rite.
Though anchorites do intrigue me some days.
ya but where does that empathy come from?
still after my 1000$ a week i see
crafty, crafty, microtransaction temptation vibes
Living in a tribal society.
Weird, because that’s what religious fanatics have been doing in small and large scale throughout history.
That doesn’t really explain though
Same
Beat me to it.
a lot of bad things have happened by people who “call” themselves christians, yes
I’m a lapsed Catholic who woke up one morning and realized the path I was on didn’t include the church.
And who are you to decide who is and isn’t a real Christian? You’re not God.
exactly
that is also how you get sane people doing good things and calling them bad
or how you get bad people doing good things and calling them good
or any other combination of these terms
you are right and you have now just admitted that God exists. got ya
Explains it perfectly.
Social animals that are not capable of empathy don’t survive. It’s a survival mechanic, a product of evolution, further refined by the fact we also evolved to use greater intelligence than all other animals, aside from neanderthals and a few other now exinct human species.
Of course humans aren’t the only empathetic animals, many animals have some level of empathy and altruism.
If that’s what you’re takeaway is from that, sure.
Both.
Animals literally eat each other and don’t feel bad about all. Also no other animal cares
