DO NOT upgrade your belt to tier set

Nah, it’s easier to not pay attention, ram a random piece of gear in the cc, not read anything and after all that…

Come and cry about it.

You would correct if you are specifically talking about blind people.

Again simple thinking. You’re not thinking of people without the experience and knowledge. Hopefully you’re never a manager of anything.

Coming from the person that assumes new players are “blind and not capable of critical thinking”.

To quote blizz cs “sometimes you have to own up to your own mistakes”.

They’ll be familiar with it if they just look at the preview window to see if it has the bonus or not.

If they are unaware of what a tier piece is, they won’t know.

You speak from a place of experience. There are enough players who don’t have the experience that this system has caused a problem.

If they can see the game and have a pulse, they’ll get it.

There are enough players who can’t read, I agree.

This is neither mine nor blizzards problem. Do you not look at the items in your vault? Do you just pick 1 of the 3 or 6 or whatever then get mad it’s not something you wanted?

Lmao, look at the current state of how simple and watered down the game is. This is a result of people actually being this inept and it having to be made even easier.

We figured it would take a couple of days for people in Cata Heroics to learn they can’t aoe everything and need to actually use the CC abilities they should be acclimated to. They never learned that lesson and instead kicked and screamed until they were nerfed into being boring AOE fests like Wrath.

We had to make respawns happen in the dungeon or within 5 feet of the portal because people could not for the life of them find the entrance to the 3.3 heroic instances.

We had to remove hit rating and defense because people couldn’t be bothered to learn what those stats did and work accordingly, they wanted gear to be like Diablo 3 where if you saw green numbers that meant it was just inherently better. Then doubled down on it by buffing main stat so much for most classes to further enforce that item level is the be-all-end-all of upgrades where secondaries only matter if the piece is basically the same item level or has a set bonus associated.

All that we’ve really learned from this is that no matter how easy or simple you make something, somehow people will surprise you with how inept they can actually be.

Could you please present a point that refutes the contents of my argument? You keep on saying how players can’t read or skip text, which is not the issue that players are having. The issue that exists at this time is largely based on the fact that you are currently able to earn Tier pieces without stepping foot in Raid, PvP, Rated PvP, or even Dungeons. You can get it entirely by doing world content, which is the first time this has ever been the case.

Why does this create a problem? Because there are players, the super laid back and casual crowd, who have never even had a tier piece in current content to begin with, along with newer players in the game, let’s say people who began in BfA, who don’t even know what Tier is.

The veteran crowd of players have pretty much talked about Creation Catalyst having the purpose of creating Tier pieces, which all of the crowd who has never interacted with tier, will infer means that this is the only purpose of it. In fact, it actually came as a surprise/confusion to pretty much EVERYONE I talked to about Catalyst that you would be able to insert non tier slots into it at all, because most people don’t follow blue posts or PTR news.

So a week before launch, many people recognize the confusion that this is going to cause, make forum posts, talk in trade, blizzard makes an article–but this doesn’t reach everyone because you can never reach everyone with cautionary statements.

And specifically, because Blizzard, for some reason, does not give players INSIDE the game the information they need to make an informed decision on their first use of Catalyst, some slip through the cracks, as seen by the topics on forum disappointed with their Catalyst results and its because of bad design

Refute the points, or don’t reply

You don’t have an argument…

People being morons is the cause of the problems.

This is the reason why they have the “don’t drink” labels on lead paint cans, apparently common sense and basic reading comprehension is too much to ask for the general population.

After witnessing some crazy things in 2022 already, I’m genuinely not sure that is enough anymore… society is going down the toilet with people like Adaia championing the cause.

this is why blizzard removed pvp vendor

That’s really not even comparable

Like I get it, even flat earthers think they have “an argument”, just let it go. You are wrong, plain and simple. Everything is laid out in game if you actually read and pay attention.

Spergs who shove a random piece in, don’t look at it, hit ok, DON’T LOOK AT IT AGAIN, wait the timer and finally hit ok AGAIN don’t deserve to be rewarded for their absolutely zero iq moves.

Well it’s a good thing neither of us are flat earthers then. But if you want to keep thinking this simply, I clearly can’t explain to you how others are affected

It’s not baited, they give you a god damn preview of the item after conversion. What you did was fail to use some common sense. They allow you to convert items that are not set related so you can get the full transmog.

The people complaining that they shouldn’t have to look up information outside the game are apparently internet savvy enough to have downloaded and installed the game. And to also have found their way here to the forums to complain about having to look up things out side the game.

It takes less time to open up Google, type in the words ‘World of Warcraft Creation Catalyst’ and hit enter than it does to come to the forums, open a new thread and send time typing out a paragraph complaining how the game ‘forces’ you to look things up.
