I’m not really a shape-shifting cow.
yea whenever i see people hiding on weird chars i find it highly suspicious.
In random threads OK, but in stuff about like competitive PVE/PVP you have zero credibility hiding on a weird alt char. Especially rating bashing in arena threads on some char that never left Durotar
I do post on my prot warr alt but mostly in threads about prot warrs. so people know i actually play that class
Fox what comp u runnin?
Yeah i hate people who hide.
I swap to my main when the discussion requires credibility but I don’t like posting on my main all the time for regular stuff.
We got forum trolls on here who all like their own posts with an army of alts and bump their own threads of “oh my god I love this so much have my baby” pretending to be another person, but in reality its one person with an army of alts to make their trolling seem legit.
There was an addon that did this.
Blizzard broke it.
Probably because it would cut down on activity.
Much like the thought that any sort of attention is good.
2s fire mage, ret and afflic
3s nothin serious yet, had some good games with mage/spriest and double melee
5s melee comps lately.
really liking resto in wrath, very fun changes. the new rating change seems good and well-thought-out, hope it is well-tuned
Solve problems? No, but it would create even more problems… especially with the way a lot of the classic community is as a whole. Emmortahl said it best already…
Anonymity is critical for discussions.
Yes, it can be abused, but the possible real life ramifications caused by a lack of anonymity far exceeds what we currently deal with, which is just trash posting from mouthbreathers.
If a level 61 gnome mage gets under your skin so badly that you want his real name, you should find a different medium to pass the time.
Would a hug help, friend?
No thanks, I want to keep my main separate from this forum. Not that I troll or anything, but I don’t need the casual talk here to bleed into my main by some psycho and transfer their drama onto my guild.
If people need to know stuff like my parses or something, all they need to do is ask.
learn to be an adult and click ignore/block…
Someone didn’t read lol.
I posted in the feedback forums a while back for the ability to ignore an account as opposed to only single characters… same energy as OP, but no response there yet
sez u the level 11 alt
This would only lead to more problems when parse color andies start making arbitrary rules about how opinions don’t matter without pink parses.
There’s a reason why WoW subreddits don’t ask users to disclose their characters either.
Use the ignore feature, that’s one reason why it exist.
I don’t hide from social interaction, so blocking another human isn’t going to happen.
Good point though, we should get RDF, the community doesn’t do social, if you don’t like what they post you ignore them. RDF solves that for you.
